His position is basically Obama's current policy. Unfortunately for his chances, he's paired it with a bunch more extremely aggressive rhetoric that's probably going to close the door on any chance of his getting a piece of the Latino vote.

Trump completely backed off his "deport 'em all" plan. Ditto on the Muslim ban. His base has been betrayed and the softening is complete.
