Re: Why Doesn't God Do This?

Hebrew word Face translated is a plural denoting presences. Often used the reveal one's character through how one's face appears when speaking of human faces. The basic idea is that the face sends forth presences. When used of God, it refers to His Presences and His ‘Glory’ used in the verses cited ...

Re: Biblical Unitarian

So, in your view, there was a time ( whatever time may mean od course) that God existed, not as "THe Father" but simply as "God", yes? There was a time when God's name was not known, other than the basic terms and El'Shaddai (God Almighty) Before creation what was there? When we...

Re: Why Doesn't God Do This?

I think God has revealed himself and does speak. "Then Moses went up, also Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and they saw the God of Israel. And there was under His feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and it was like the very heavens in its clarity. Exodu...

Re: Is Matthew 16:27 about the second coming?

Matt 16:28 "some of you" Judas Iscariot killed himself (we have "some" of you) "son of man coming in his kingdom" or in other words the ascension of Jesus.

Re: Biblical Unitarian

May I ask you something John? DO you believe that there was a time that The Father was NOT the Father but "only" God? a time where The Son did NOT exist? I believe that God has always been God, then as the OT and NT confirm the begetting of Jesus... God became a Father, and Jesus became t...

1stjohn wrote: Is a biblical unitarian a Christian? A saved Christian? No. A nominal Christian? Yes. How can one claim to be a Christian if as you say cannot be saved? Re: Biblical Unitarian

So John, all you got out of B. W.'s post is that he didn't refer to you by your correct name? Do you have any desire at all to learn? I read the post. The learning is not what I am after, rather it is what the majority of people believe here. I disagree with most of the Christology, but am willing ...

Re: Biblical Unitarian

Thanks, In all of the scriptures you provided, there is no trinity. I knew I would get the word "heretic" or cultist of which you provided heretical. There is something that the unitarians of Jesus’ day on earth knew to their credit is something that the unitarians of this age fail to rec...

Biblical Unitarian

Is a biblical unitarian a Christian? Why or why not? I know some may point to the "deviation" of mainstream Christianity, such as calling that person a cultist or heretic. As I understand, Jesus was a unitary monotheistic Jew and believed in the one God of Israel Mark 12:29. I also very we...

Re: Needing some apologetics resources for a friend

The book of Hebrews is an apologetic work.
If you want to stay with the "mainstream" beliefs you could read Justin Martyrs writings. Also Josh McDowell is quite interesting.

Re: The Lord said...?

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, Heb 1:1
This would also include audible voice that could be heard!! Many verses have YHWH speaking audibly to people directly.
