Re: Crazy Atheists in Florida

From what I read they were doing it because they were "offended" by the blessing. I also saw the term "atheists rights" in the article. I can't believe they are trying to jump on that band wagon. I'm not aware of anyone being forced to not be an atheist.

Re: A few questions

I have looked at the New Atheist propaganda and have found when I really researched it, it didn't hold water. Some of it seemed to be outright lies.

Re: Argument from bad design. Very, very bad design!

Good find, Vespetta. I can't believe I missed that article. It makes a lot of sense. How dare you bring logic into the debate?!? Here's the full link if you want to take a look: http://www.godandscience.org/evolution/designgonebad.html I was going to post this link earlier. It is the best ans...

Re: Argument from bad design. Very, very bad design!

Just a response to the example of the "bad design". Wouldn't two tubes, one for breathing and one for eating, require two mouths? Wouldn't that also require a bigger head and neck? What we have now seems efficient. When I read the OP I automatically thought about German engineering. I work with alot...

Re: Has science gotten arrogant?

Yeah, the snarkiness doesn't help them neither does the arrogance. I know a couple of atheists but that is it. The internet seems to be infested with the militant ones. I really don't get the belief only in physical evidence. There is more to human existence and experience than just the physical asp...

Re: Has science gotten arrogant?

Thanks Jac3510 for your response. I agree. I think scientists like Dawkins are more motivated by their own personal emotions than rational thought. What makes a biologist more of an authority on God than an auto mechanic? To me it is the same as the auto mechanic claiming since he knows how a car wo...

Has science gotten arrogant?

Thanks to this website and others I have seen plenty of scientific evidence that proves God exists. I never realized just how much thought and work has been put into this proof until I started digging through alot of the information that is out there. One thing I have learned from doing this is just...

Re: evolving

I recently had a discussion with someone recently who claimed we had wisdom teeth because the jaw of a monkey was bigger than human's and when we evolved our jaws got smaller but we still have the same number of teeth. I had always heard wisdom teeth were there because of the rough diet of early man...

Re: The unbelieving Thomas v2.0

Thanks for the above post SilverTusk. I have always heard the claim "no one has ever proven God exists" and I wondered what it would take to prove this. For myself I have seen enough proof for satisfaction that God exists. With science being limited to what we know about the four dimensions we exist...

Re: The unbelieving Thomas v2.0

Atheists don't care about the evidence they just don't want God to exist. It's an emotional objection. Very true and very well put. Given what little we know about our 4 dimensional existence there is plenty of evidence for the existence of God. Someone has to be willing to go where that evidence l...

Re: the absence of God?

I agree with Stu, where does it end/begin? I run across people all the time who say this same thing: Why did God allow "fill in the blank" to happen here on earth? I don't think "here on earth" is the end result but yet a process. Awful things are going to happen and great things are going to happen...

Re: Is rational thinking over rated?

I see where you guys are coming from now and I am more in agreement. But I am not saying robots are on the same level with humans when it comes to making decisions. On the contrary I am saying that robots are programmed to make decisions on a basic level. Hopefully the programmer set the program up ...

Re: Is rational thinking over rated?

I disagree. While program changes can be made to Deep Blue the moves it makes while playing are determined by it's options defined. Sure it is a function of it's program but it still calculates and produces an output or move. This is what I call a decision. It is the same with 6 and 7 axis robots. W...

Re: "Something from Nothing" Discussion Thread

Thanks for the link to another great site. I bookmarked it for later reading. Anywho, I have debated atheists who parrot this exact same info from Dawkins. I usually end up by saying to them that the biggest difference between us is our view on the origins of life. The atheist claims my belief in th...
