Re: Job 38:14 says earth is flat?
Zach, Sorry about not getting to your question earlier. I just got back from vacation and am behind on emails. So here is my answer: I think it is important to look at the verse in context. Verse 12 is actually the beginning of the passage. Here it is in context from the NASB: "Have you ever in...

Re: meaning of Belief in salvation
Maybe some apologies are in order. Or maybe the next topic should be "Do Christians apologize?"

I did a fairly comprehensive examination of the movie from a biblical perspective. It would probably interest you.

Re: I Have Never Experienced God Personally
The key is not that Christians shouldn't worship privately. Obviously, that is mostly what we do. However, the Christian is not to only worship privately. You don't need to necessarily worship in an institutional church. Attending a Bible study would fulfill scripture. The point is to have physical ...

Automatic Bible verse link
I found a very cool script that expands every scripture citation with a hover-popup. So, now you can just cite the verse and the script will show the full verse when you hover above the link. The reader can also click in the popup to go and read the verse in context or the entire chapter. Enjoy! Isa...

The Medical "Benefits" of Smoking Marijuana
I have received quite a number of emails from Christians touting the benefits of using marijuana. Being in medical research, I have known for some time that the research does not support the idea that marijuana is a harmless recreational pastime. This is a summary of the medical research on the effi...

Re: T-shirts
I have redone the T-shirt design, including designs on front and back. Take a look at http://www.godandscience.org/t-shirts.html. If you click on the shirt, you can get a closer look at the design. So take a look and let me know what you think or would like to see. I have a local supplier and it loo...

Re: The Hope of Atheism and Humanism: The Ultimate Fate of...
If the multiverse theory were true, it would invalidate the argument. However, the multiverse is impossible over the entire period of eternity (which is what atheists would propose for the age of the "invisible" part of our universe - if such a thing exists at all). The problem for the mul...

Re: Movie Review: Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed
I do think the movie was made to pander to conservatives, which is why Reagan and the Berlin wall were featured so prominently. They could have done a better job presenting the views of other ID proponents who haven't been persecuted and maybe some evolutionists who are open to at least some of ID. ...

Book Review: The Irrational Atheist: Dissecting the Unholy Trinity of Dawkins, Harris, and Hitchens by Vox Day
This is one of the best books I have read in a while. It really takes apart the claims of the new atheists. I think Vox Day had a good time writing this.

Re: Movie Review: Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed
The major complaint of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed is that it presents only the extremes. The impression is that persecution of those who endorse intelligent design is widespread. This is probably not true. Yes, there are those who persecute ID proponents, and there are atheists whose ideas ar...
