Re: Why Hillary Wins!
 In 1980 the "common wisdom" was no way could Ronald Reagan win because no actor had ever been President before! We know how well "common knowledge" fared in that one. Reagan and his advisors were tuned into the widespread anger and dissatisfaction of the average Americ...

Valdres, Norway. Some of my not so distant ancestors are from Valdres but I have no idea who this particular lady is. Interesting. y:-? The Third World War will begin in a way no one would have anticipated—and from an unexpected place. WW1 is a textbook example of an obscure event in an obscure plac...

Re: EU Referendum
My understanding of the EU is it originally was a framework to take down barriers that were stifling trade and economic growth. Maybe I was mistaken. Any rate the good idea quickly morphed into a springboard for social and political oppression by bureaucrats far removed from reality. Instead of bein...

Re: Global consciousness connecting people
I recall an experiment in the UK with a dog. IIRC the dog was tuned in to the owner returning home at a certain time. Not sure if this is the same experiment you're referring to. Speaking of dogs (and cats) how many stories have there been about a lost dog traveling hundreds of miles to find its own...

Global consciousness connecting people
Normally I don't pay attention to super nerdy that involves complicated math or fringe concepts. But this particular topic grabbed me because I could relate to it by experience. On the morning of 9/11/01 I was in my office doing routine stuff, nothing going on, so just a normal level of stress. Quic...

Random research connects to Paul in a personal way
About a month ago I had what I can only describe as a revelation. The back story is needed to help understand what's been happening in my life. That said here we go. Since childhood I've had a strong urge to investigate and explore due to curiosity. This internet age has been great for a curious per...

Re: Putting God over parents is a problem? (Mark 7:9-13)
Ian McCormack talks about the issue of someone diverting attention among his loved ones vs attention to God. Called a "divided heart" in this particular speech. The "divided heart" starts at the 17:00 minute mark.

Re: EU Referendum
I don't follow news closely but from what I've seen is the high mucky mucks were making policy in Brussels to advance a political ideology to the detriment of individual countries. Frankly I'm surprised the EU has lasted this long especially after the Greece financial issues. As a tourist it was nic...

Re: Does the Supernatural Exist?
Another thought about 'ghosts' -- Scripture says that when a person dies -- if they are a born-again believer that they are immediately with Jesus. And that non-believers are in hades -- the compartment of Abraham's bosom -- waiting for judgement day. But they are Not 'ghosts' hovering or appearing...

If you guys think fruitcake is an insult, I feel bad for you, because you've never had a proper fruit cake before (often called tarts) they come in almost any flavor, and are as nutritious as they are delicious. Add some honey glaze to the top, or caramel. Take one bite and shoot your soul straight...

Re: Does the Supernatural Exist?
One common theme in stories is that spirits are attracted to locations or scenes of violence, evil practices/occult, suicides, gross abuse of people by other people, etc. Some examples are prisons, mental institutions, battlefields, crime scenes.

Re: Does the Supernatural Exist?
Do you think there is any evidence for a Supernatural Realm? If you referring to paranormal type of stuff, then yes. I know about 10 people at the police dept who had experiences on the job or lived in a "haunted house". The police culture is fairly macho and don't talk about this topic u...
