Sometimes people can believe most anything is a conspiracy or deliberate disinformation. Course, the problem with that is, you'll often dismiss information merely based upon its source as opposed to seriously examining and researching the claim (or denial) made.

Stu, you might as well give this one up - as the avalanche of evidence to the contrary makes this a laughable contention. But I think Rick and DB have patiently offered up evidences that your contention simply cannot answer. Just don't let your pride cause you to double down and keep insisting. Tell you the truth, this flat-earth stuff reminds me of Able and his Gap Theory nonsense - or that He thought Trump was going to save America and was woven into prophetic utterings by anonymous people. It's easy to get sucked into this type of stuff. While being skeptical can certainly serve us all quite well, at some reasonable point, one needs to accept rational, examinable things. And sometimes, even people in the government, experts and scientists, get behind good things - hard to believe, I know. :D

Sorry just busy with other things at the moment and am a little flat earthed out.

Will address you and DB's point though.
Stu,

Any response to my post #243?

Sorry busy with gun stuff at the moment. The ANC government want to outlaw guns for self defence in SA. Plus no more reloading which would kill the sport shooting scene. Plus only allowed to have 100 or even 50 rounds of ammo, current amount is 200 for non-dedicated people.

We are in for a fight but the community is coming together including opposition parties who are usually silent on the matter. If they take away our guns for self defence the criminals will have a field day as they are heavily armed will know we are sitting ducks in our homes.

The police sell guns and ammunition to gangs and criminals (I kid you not) and they also get guns from the army. About 2 million rounds of 9mmP go "missing" from the South African Police Service every year in SA. Yes that number is right.

But they want to take away guns from law abiding citizens in a country with one of the highest murder rates in the world and one of the highest rape rates in the world. They plan on expropriation without compensation of land soon and the financial turmoil that will accompany it will be pretty bad I think so the government wants an unarmed populace. The future doesn't look good for SA (death by a thousand cuts has been our downfall, which has lead to many frogs loving their pot of boiling water) and the government doesn't want an armed population they want easy targets and lambs to the slaughter.

So I ask anyone reading this to pray for us in South Africa and let the government's Bill fail and let us keep our guns for self defence. Would appreciate it.

I've got several videos lined up (just have to find them again) for a response to your post but I have kinda lost interest in the whole flat earth thing of late.

Stu, are you starting to consider you could have been wrong or perhaps misled by the Flatties?

Oh, crap...you’re in RSA. After seeing Rhodesia go from a thriving economy in spite of sanctions to a basket case under majority rule, did you really think RSA could follow a different path? You’re on your way to becoming another failed African state. Change your country’s name to Southern Zimbabwe...

Yeah I had hope for many years for the ANC but I have given up now, the ANC are clearly socialist/communist wannabes and will do anything (apart from governing properly) to stay in power.

They plan expropriation of land without compensation and clearly want to take our guns as they don't want resistance. We are going the way of every other failed African country. First take the guns and then the people have no means of defending themselves when the economy crashes.

Troubling times ahead.

No, pretty sure the Bible got it right. Time will reveal the truth.

Stu, it's a good thing you've abandoned the flat earth fixation because it's an emotional argument based upon literal Scriptural understandings (but many phrases in Scripture aren't meant to be literal but are figurative) and conspiracy theories - but certainly not one based upon OBSERVABLE facts. Which means you have no credible reasons to believe this flat earth nonsense. God gave us both powerful evidences and rational minds - and left it up to us to glue those two things together. Yes, there are arguable differences in how one assesses scientific evidences - but this is not one of them! But as for our Christian influence, whenever we embrace a belief that is powerfully refuted by logic and known facts, then many unbelievers will equate that illogic with their already mistaken belief that Christianity is fully of myths and lies. Meaning, they also will fail to listen to what we assert to be true about Christ. We have to be very careful what we buy into!
