Fortnite and PUBG

I played one of the two-i forget it was on another persons pc and they are similar. I think it's a good war game so far, it deals with survival and that can be useful. There are even teams which reminds me of Christian themes.
In one game I had to kill myself by running off a cliff due to the storm passing me and i was on an island and couldn't get to the bridge in time. In another I lasted quite a while, I stayed near the edges where people don't usually go.
However I dont' like the idea of being pitted against other people and only one would live.

How is this a moral issue? It is a game, isn't it?

Because games can be immoral. Violence ring a bell?

All video games should be banned because they're of the devil.

And music is of the devil too. Ban music too. Except gangsta rap, that's cool.

Technology is just of the devil. When laser printers came out it was said by some that they'd rise up and start killing us all. Sadly, I'm not joking.

Well ultimately it's up to the person if they're comfortable with it.
Me I'm ok with Fortnite.
PS this reminds me of how anime is viewed as bad, yet not all of it is.

As far as I'm concerned, my laser printer is still the devil!

We try to export them to America, and they're often welcomed with open arms. i.e., Ken Ham, right? :P

Who's Ken Ham? I'm not at all familiar with him.

Funny, I felt like rising up and killing my printer today - it seemed to have decided it was not going to print much text; I was trying to hard copy a work thing and every time it came out worse

I don't think graphic violence in video games is a good idea - some people are going to play the games too much and be affected by them. I've been playing a MMORPG sometimes (I think thatkid got me looking into them!) which involves killing a lot of different creatures - the fighting's not very realistic but I feel uncomfortable when the creatures are too human-like.

With that logic, you could get away with a helluva lot of stuff...

Often, I guess, but I don't kill cute little animals in the game - either they're dangerous animals/monsters which attack you if you get too close anyway, or they're reasonably benign creatures (till you attack them) but pests. My main interest in the game is doing quests which involve different tasks - not all of those are killing particular creatures but often you get attacked by hostile things on your way to do something else anyway. Sounds violent  but it is fantasy.

Hurting real animals is about the furthest thing from what I want to do (apart from hurting people). We had a couple of mice in the house recently and I got humane traps so I could catch them unhurt and release them outside - I tried to send them down the street in the direction of a vacant field but the last one made straight for the neighbour's front door! I should take them right down to the field I suppose.
