Ok, so sad to have missed a potential school delay by 24 hours and have some snow forecasted for a....SATURDAY!?!? Ugh, travesty, travesty.... :esurprised: :ewink:

Yes, teachers llike the snow days just as much or possibly even more than the students...

A travesty indeed. But one year we had too many snow days and as a result had to go to school on Saturday, which wasn't fun.

Did you try praying for the snow to come on a school day?

But seriously that is sad, sabotage the boiler or something.

Hey, I love the kids but I love sleep as well...notice I said snow DELAY...I love 2 hour delays....they are the best of both worlds....an extra hour or two of sleep (no getting up at 5 am) OR getting to school with an extra hour of time to plan/grade/copy with the hallways quiet and I can catch up....the teacher's perennial dream...catching up.

(PLus it was a friday, and I must say a friday with a delay is the icing on the cake...only think better is a delay on mondays....*that* is the best  )

So which part of the school do you sleep in? Just wondering, cos teachers sleep at school rite? oh and just wondering, you get to use the cane there rite?

Anyway I was wondering, is it really that stressful that you need more sleep, I had this strange idea that teachers had really long holidays floating around my mind.

Well, considering that I am working every night for at least an hour and get to school at 7ish and usually get home at 4:30ish, that is more than a typical 9-5 job where you don't have to take it home with you.

That doesn't include the work that still ahs to get done during the holidays, such as grading or or planning.

So I wouldn't say we have it easy.... :esurprised: But that's hardly surprising

Hey, guess what. I start college on Mondays at 10:45. An extra 2 and a half hours sleep on Mondays... LUXUARY. :pound:

How can you remember classes starting at 8am? Lol. I've forgotten that stuff long ago. Lol. I do remember having a few 3 hour classes that were ridiculous. By the third hour your brain and body are either numb or twitching.

AH yes, but those were the classes that you precisely remember *becuase* I was annmoyed at having to get there by 8. Actually, I have forgotten lots of those logistical things, but weird little items I have kept, like certain professors, palces I used to study, my first break-up...
