Caves in France

Post by godslanguage »

I was just wondering if there is a link to any thread that has some information on the dating of the caves found in France. This is what I keep hearing as the number one proof against YEC. Some caves were found supposebly 150 000 years old, with carvings of humans and animals on them.

If no links, perhaps may I ask for some peoples own perspectives, facts or opinions on it. Thanks for any replies!

The only link on the main site I could find referencing this area is:

http://www.godandscience.org/evolution/sld040.html

Do you have a source you can provide a link to that puts the dating back 150,000 years? That seems quite a bit older than anything I've seen or read.

Maybe others have a better answer.

Old caves are hardly the number one proof against YEC. Radiometric dating is one of many techniques consistent with an old earth.

Yup. It sure isn't where I would go for primary proof. Sounds like a strawman argument maybe offered on a YEC site.

Yes,

There are a number of sites on the caves in France...but you'll have to be able to read French. Do a word search for grottes neanderthal ardennes .

Have fun!

Eu...

mais quelle surprise! des américains qui parlent français!

J'habite í  Laval, qui est une banlieu de Montréal.

Tambien hablo espanol... pero esa computadora no tiene los acentos espanoles.

For the rest of you:

My wife & I were in a train last summer going from Paris to Strasbourg in France. We met a young woman from somewhere in Texas (Dallas?) who was travelling with her pre-teen daughter and her mother. Nice, smart people and the little girl spoke French.

What does this have to do with caveman paintings?
