We tend to see faces where there are none.

The human brain has specific sections dedicated to face recognition.

Not to defend the smokey faces...but so what BGood? Maybe we recognize a face because it IS there, or maybe because it only resembles. That's like saying because police officers expect to find thugs in a specific house (based on sitings, appearance of house, etc)...mean in any way that they are wrong.

Exactly, the truth is I don't know.
It could be one of a number of explanations, and there certainly is no reason to claim anything more than simply "we don't know"

Oh come on BGood, you never limit yourself to this. You demand others to say "I Don't Know" but you know I'm wrong, you know your opponents are wrong...you know ID isn't science and evolution is science and is true...

I know what I don't know.

And everything else, I present supporting evidence for.
Nothing in science is true, it is only our best chance at it at the moment.

Science cannot answer most of the questions in our lives.

I hope you appreciate someday that most of what we have discovered is a result of experimentation and observation. Very seldomly does someone actually get it right the first time.

I admire your attitude. God might want you to spend the money on more useful/charitable things than that 500$ lamp, still I do not think it is a sin too buy that lamp.
I do not think that wealth is a sin, but rather too not be willing to give up your wealth for Christ, that is a sin.

i dont mind taking the heat for calling this a buncha foolishness. its no different than people seeing the virgin mary in a stain on the side of a building and half an hour later they have a whole bevy of folks seeing it too and praying to it and lighting candles and bringing flowers and and and...
