How about if instead of resting your case you justify your position? What did I say that wasn't factual? You have this tendency to drop a snarky one liner and retire, as if your point was self evidently correct. It wasn't. You can get away with that here on your home court, but that doesn't mean that you said anything.

What did I say that wasn't true?

- Did Obama not win the popular and electoral vote twice?

- Did McConnell not state (on TV) that his primary goal was to ensure that Obama was a one term President?

- Did the GOP not block everything that Obama put forward?

- Did good old boys not make lynching memes?

- Is Trump not a birther?

- Is birtherism not an attack on Obama's legitimacy?

- Did people not claim that Obama was secret Muslim who hated America?

- Did people not claim that Obama instituted death panels?

- Did people not claim that Obama's wife was secretly transgender?

- Did Trump not lose the popular vote by 3 million votes?

- Did he not receive help from the Russian government?

- Is it not hypocritical for a birther to complain about not being seen as a legitimate President, or to ask people to respect the office?

Where am I wrong?
Look up the word constitution. Maybe that'll show you and your friend crooked Hillary where you are wrong.

And I'll engage (or not) any which way I damn well please as it is your right to do the same. I have no expectations one way or the other but please don't insult my intelligence by claiming I have some home court advantage. History testifies to the exact contrary.

Okay, here you go.
con·sti·tu·tion

/ˌkänstəˈt(y)o͞oSH(ə)n/

noun

noun: constitution; plural noun: constitutions

1.
a body of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is acknowledged to be governed.

the basic written set of principles and precedents of federal government in the US, which came into operation in 1789 and has since been modified by twenty-seven amendments.

singular proper noun: Constitution; noun: the Constitution

2.
the composition of something.
"the genetic constitution of a species"

the forming or establishing of something.
"the constitution of a police authority"

3.
a person's physical state with regard to vitality, health, and strength.
"pregnancy had weakened her constitution"

a person's mental or psychological makeup.
So your point was "constitution"?

Out of curiosity, what is it about that word that entitles Donald Trump to reject the legitimacy of the last President while simultaneously arguing that rejecting his own legitimacy is unfair?
Byblos wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2019 2:20 pmAnd I'll engage (or not) any which way I damn well please as it is your right to do the same.
Course you will. I wasn't giving you an order, I was making a suggestion. Seeing as how you responded with "Look up the word constitution" I have to assume that you're not interested in taking it. That's a pity, because "Look up the word constitution" is a meaningless one liner. You've said virtually nothing, which leaves me in the position of trying to read between the lines to try and figure out what the hell you're talking about. I was simply suggesting that that might not be the best way to communicate.
Byblos wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2019 2:20 pmI have no expectations one way or the other but please don't insult my intelligence by claiming I have some home court advantage. History testifies to the exact contrary.
I don't have a home court - too conservative for the liberals, too liberal for the conservatives, and too testy for the moderates - so I have to be decent on the road.

Rick, Byblos, Phil, how could you not agree that Trump should be impeached for farting? We all know flatulence increases carbon, which has a detrimental effect on global warming, climate change, etc. The US won't even exist in 2020 if it continues. And Trump just blatantly keeps farting. It's treasonous! If this doesn't convince you Trump should be impeached then nothing will. We should all rally behind Peloski and support his impeachment. How dare we not!

It's easier to go all in on cognitive dissonance than to face uncomfortable realities or look for facts that support my position.
Sigh...

That's correct, Stu. Ed has facts.

Stu doesn't like Ed's facts, but that's too bad. Ed's facts don't care about Stu's feelings. If Stu had some facts of his own he could use them to hurt Ed's feelings, but he doesn't. No facts for Stu, or at least no facts that he likes. Stu tries to hide his lack of facts with a snarky attitude, but everybody knows the truth. Ed has facts and Stu doesn't have any.

Poor Stu.

So there's some corruption bordering on treason.

Here's a copy of the whistleblower's letter.

That's on top of Trump's denials that the Russians interfered in our election (a position in direct opposition to that of the entire US intelligence apparatus), his multiple, illegal obstructive acts aimed at derailing the investigation, his constant, flagrant violation of the emoluments clause, among other things.

Seems like the impeachment circus will begin shortly. I sincerely hope that the "rule of law" party takes the law seriously and does their constitutional duty.
No I'm not convinced. This is just more fake news that you believe that will turn out wrong just like all the other times. You think that because the right exposed the truth that Obama was not born in the US and you think it is a lie,it is OK for the left and MSM to make up lies about Trump. What amazes me is how you continue to believe the nonsense put out by the MSM and the left who are always wrong in the end. Credibility does not matter to you,if they claim this about Trump and it does not happen, you believe them again, then again, and again, over and over.Even I do not do this when it comes to the alt-right media as I have ones i trust and ones I don't and there are even fake MAGA's out there too.You claim Trump obstructed justice but yet the Dems are wanting to impeach Trump over this Ukraine whistle blower conspiracy theory based on hear say.If Trump obstructed justice then why are they now using this to impeach Trump instead of obstruction of justice instead? It is because of the Mueller report that came out and you believed the MSM's spin and still promote it even now.Even when the Democrats have moved on from it because it was not what they wanted. Yet no matter how many times they tell a lie about Trump you buy it hook, line and sinker. You love to believe liars who continually get things wrong when it comes to Trump and do not know what they are talking about.

The Clinton's were directly involved with Epstein. You just refuse to accept the evidence that is out there. The MSM accused Trump of being involved with Epstein based on a photo from years ago, while they never reported how Bill Clinton is on the Epstein flight logs from Epstein's plane and it shows Bill Clinton visited Epstein's island atleast 26 times.Yet they never even reported this, instead the alt-right media did.We even have a photo of Bill Clinton on one of Epstein's islands in a swimming pool, yet the MSM never reported this.Which is the stronger evidence of being involved with Epstein? Bill Clinton's name on Epstein's plane flight logs 26 times and a photo of him on one of Epstein's island in a swimming pool,or a photo of Trump with Epstein from a party years ago? Bill Clinton is toast again once the evidence comes out.Remember I did not have sexual relations with that woman? And yet he lied,he is toast. You think Trump is a scumbag? How about Bill Clinton being involved with a pedophile and covering it up too.You think you know the reason they want to impeach Trump? You just don't know what they have on everybody.

Link please, I still don't know what you're talking about.

I do believe Bill Clinton has been involved in sexual abuse, not outrageous considering his sexual immorality with Monica, the women who came forward with sexual allegations, how much much he did rub shoulders with Epstein who apparently "committed suicide" (which next to noone believes wasn't under the strangest of circumstances).

The irony is, when I mentioned Trump's one-off comments re: Epstein having a taste for young women, you lapped that up like a cat does milk! Yet, when I mention "precious" Democrats like the Clintons, you think it lacks critical thinking.

I don't claim to be perfect with thinking critically all the time. But Ed, I can't recall any real critical thinking from you when it comes to Democrats. Even being critical of those who are destroying the Democrats with their extreme socialist views that are forcing more and more libertarians out of the party. It feels to me quite similar to how Abe is blinded to anything negative on Trump such that he always puts a positive spin on his actions.

This is what I'm talking about when I say "Abe is hard to deal with." This is just tortured logic.

The right didn't "expose the truth." Birtherism is a conspiracy theory that never made any sense and has been repeatedly debunked. The only people who still believe it are ignorant, paranoid racists.

As far as "the left," whatever that means, and the MSM making up lies, I don't think it's okay. That's why I fact check stories and don't disseminate fake news, even if it happens to be awesome.

By the way, this totally just happened:

LOL, he hasn't even realized it! Worms are eating his brain!

Anyway, the difference between us is that I recognize my own ignorance and do my best to lessen it by reading the news, fact checking stories, and doing my damndest to stay informed and think critically.

You, by comparison, don't.

Trump did obstruct justice. The Mueller Report makes that very clear, and more than 700 former federal prosecutors backed him up. Plus I read the law, read the Mueller Report, thought about it, and decided and what they're saying makes sense. However, the Senate GOP was never going to convict Trump of obstruction because they care more about protecting their political position than enforcing the law. The Democrats know that, so they made a political calculation and decided not to impeach.

Now we have a new scandal, and the Democrats seem to believe that this one might just be so flagrant a violation of our trust, the oath of office, and the law that the Senate GOP will be forced to make a political calculation of their own and vote to jettison the clown. That, or they figure that if they can keep the cameras focused on Trump's selfishness and lawlessness long enough he'll get crushed in 2020. These are guesses of course; Nancy Pelosi doesn't share her thoughts with me. Still, it seems pretty obvious.

I don't read editorials, analysis, and opinion pieces.

I think that there's something to the whistleblower's report because I read the report and looked at the evidence that it contained, read the IG's letter saying it was credible, read the partial transcript that the Trump Administration released, read up on the Biden story that Rudy's been trying to sell, took note of the fact that the Administration didn't release the actual transcript of the call as the law requires them to do, read the Acting Director of National Intelligence's testimony that the whistleblower did the right thing, and decided that there just might be something to this.

You, by comparison, didn't.
