So there is consideration that Egypt was around 10,500 years ago, because of the sphinx.

I don't think there are any serious Egyptian scholars today who claim that Egyption civilization is 10,000 years old.
In fact that is approximately the time frame of the Neolithic Revolution in Mesopotamia.

The standard Egyptian timeline has the beginning of the 1st Egyptian Dynasty beginning around 2900 BC with the Great Sphinx being built during the 4th Egyptian Dynasty beginning around 2600 BC.
David Rohl's New Egyptian Chronology (which lines up better with the Biblical timeline) has the 1st Egyptian Dynasty beginning around 2800 BC and the 4th Egyptian Dynasty beginning 2450 BC.
