Not to worry - Pope declares hell nonexistent!

Post by Philip »

"Pope Francis says, "They are not punished, those who repent obtain the forgiveness of God and enter the rank of souls who contemplate him, but those who do not repent and cannot therefore be forgiven disappear. There is no hell, there is the disappearance of sinful souls."

The only question - did he really say this? Which should be easy to clarify: ASK him!

Vatican: Don’t trust report that Pope Francis denied reality of hell
Vatican City, Mar 29, 2018 / 08:21 am (CNA/EWTN News).- On Thursday the Holy See stated that a reported interview between Pope Francis and an Italian journalist, which claims the Pope denied the existence of hell, should not be considered an accurate depiction of Francis’ words, but the author’s own “reconstruction.”

A recent meeting between Pope Francis and Italian journalist Eugenio Scalfari, 93, was a “private meeting for the occasion of Easter, however without giving him any interview,” the March 29 communique stated.

“What is reported by the author in today’s article is the result of his reconstruction, in which the literal words pronounced by the Pope are not quoted. No quotation of the aforementioned article must therefore be considered as a faithful transcription of the words of the Holy Father.”

The wording of the Vatican's response is interesting: Saying the Pope's words about hell "should not be considered an accurate depiction of Francis’ words, but the author’s own “reconstruction" - this is an unclear response, it does not say the Pope never said the gist of what was published. And yet, this is such an important issue, one would think there would have been an emphatic correction issued, that the Pope believes that hell does indeed exist.

31Mar18......BobLoblah has always accepted that ' Hell ' is a place where a person goes who will NEVER see God and NEVER get any answers to any questions that he / she had in this life.
Heaven is the complete opposite and is wonderful in that a person can now have ALL the answers that he / she had in this life. Just imagine that.
Ps: A real hell would be like the one the following two characters are living in. You see, both Stalin and Hitler enjoyed a game of ' checkers. ' They weren't smart enough to play chess, only smart enough to bring pain on others by using their fellow strongmen. Now, BobLoblah believes that both of them have been sat down by God to play a game of checkers. Only thing is, they are playing the same game over and over and over and over and will do so for all eternity and will NEVER get to do anything else. Oh yes, should ' YOU ' end up in heaven, you can pass by to visit them.....on your way to take a peek at some of the wonders of God in his massive Creation. You can look these two characters in the eyes and let'em know that you are seeing such wonderful things since you got there. You can wish them good luck in the enjoyment of their game of checkers, that you already know the outcome of the game they are playing but not to worry because they will continue on playing their same game over and over and over. They, of course, will have a permanent audience consisting for example of Napoleon Bonapart, Pol Pot, Gaddddaasssffffi, Mao tse Tong ( deJong ), Sadamm Hussein, and a whole pile of other miscreants including those who beat their wives and children, raped people, pushed drugs, stole, murdered, and the WholeNineYards of bad things that the real baddies carry out.
And that my dear ladies and gentlemen is BobLoblah's idea of Hell. Wadchadink...!!!...

B.W: The Vatican is backtracking saying it ain't so...
All they have to do is release a statement by the pope, stating that hell indeed does exist, it's an eternal punishment, and that only through faith in Christ is it avoided. Merely saying he was inaccurately quoted doesn't cut it. So, let's see if there are any journalists out there with integrity - who will ask the pope specifically about this? I don't want to just hear some Vatican PR guy doing damage control.
