A REALLY weird ethical dilemma of Marriage and Incest
OK, according to Scripture, once a person is married, he is to remain married - except in very specific circumstances.
And incest is an abomination.
What to do?

What are the odds of this happening?

Just a guess. I figured it's about the same odds as successfully navigating an asteroid field.Philip wrote:How so?Approximately 3,720 to 1

Yep. Can't imagine such a cruel thing to find out. Better now than after they have a child with some server genetic-caused deformity.Just a guess. I figured it's about the same odds as successfully navigating an asteroid field.
As for the asteroid avoidance - wonder how those aliens traveling at the speed of light manage to avoid them?

Re: A REALLY weird ethical dilemma of Marriage and Incest
lets see the red flags:
1) born on the same day
2) look a lot alike
3) both adopted
4) have a lot in common

I think BigHamster may have been referring to this:thatkidakayoungguy wrote:It was different then, it was the only option.BigHamster wrote:I wonder what Noah would have to say on the subject ?
Genesis 19:33-38So they made their father drink wine that night, and the firstborn went in and lay with her father; and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose. 34 On the following day, the firstborn said to the younger, “Behold, I lay last night with my father; let us make him drink wine tonight also; then you go in and lie with him, that we may preserve [ag]our family through our father.” 35 So they made their father drink wine that night also, and the younger arose and lay with him; and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose. 36 Thus both the daughters of Lot were with child by their father. 37 The firstborn bore a son, and called his name Moab; he is the father of the Moabites to this day. 38 As for the younger, she also bore a son, and called his name Ben-ammi; he is the father of the [ah]sons of Ammon to this day.

Re: A REALLY weird ethical dilemma of Marriage and Incest
Actually, I was referring to the possibility that we could all be the progeny of Noah's children after the flood. That would make us all ~50th cousins.RickD wrote:I think BigHamster may have been referring to this:thatkidakayoungguy wrote:It was different then, it was the only option.BigHamster wrote:I wonder what Noah would have to say on the subject ?
Genesis 19:33-38
Consider the earth shattering implications of this....... I could borrow $50 from you all and never pay it back. After all, what are cousins for
