Deep Thought of the Day
If you clean a vacuum cleaner, you are a vacuum cleaner.

I've actually shared it wish some people.

And that, brothers and sisters, is the kind of foolishness you get people who insist on denying biblical theism. A good illustration of any as the length people will go to avoid acknowledging basic truths.Proinsias wrote:I don't think you are hearing me. Preference for ice cream is a moral issue

Well no. A vacuum cleaner is cleaner that works by creating (more or less) a vacuum. If you clean a vacuum cleaner, with a rag or something, you are a vacuum cleaner cleaner, not a vacuum cleaner. I suppose that if you got very grubby while doing that, you could wash with a piece of soap, which could be called a vacuum cleaner cleaner cleaner, and if you wiped the grime off the soap with a paper towel, that would be a vacuum cleaner cleaner cleaner cleaner. Then....

Nope. "Vaccuum" works in the joke because it is a metonymy.hughfarey wrote:Well no. A vacuum cleaner is cleaner that works by creating (more or less) a vacuum. Before criticizing someone, always make sure first to walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes.
