Myself. Because I'm always right and modest.

To be clear, I respect Craig immensely.
I don't personally think Craig really has a stick up his you-know-what.
That was based upon whispers I heard in the audience from an Atheist-leaning contingent.

Appearances are often deceiving.

Craig is just very rational and so clinical in his approach, but he is nonetheless charitable, seems sincerely loving and passionate.
Whereas someone like Sam Harris or Krauss appear more relaxed and therefore human, Krauss actually got caught out lying in his first debate with Craig -- and clearly was the one with a stick up his ... with uncharitable ad hominems. He did however know how the play the audience and relate a heck of a lot more.

In any case, I just wanted to clarify that.

As for my favourite apologist, it would probably have to be Craig himself. ;)
He helped introduce me to a higher level of reason for my faith, compared to laymen apologetics like say Geisler or Strobel.
The book I always recommend to anyone who asks is Craig's Reasonable Faith.

Lewis, because he understood grace.

I respect the work Mr. Craig does much but I rarely listen to him since to me he is always trying to win the debate.
It would be a blessing if they missed the cairns and got lost on the way back. Or if
the Thing on the ice got them tonight.

I could only turn and stare in horror at the chief surgeon.
Death by starvation is a terrible thing, Goodsir, continued Stanley.
And with that we went below to the flame-flickering Darkness of the lower deck
and to a cold almost the equal of the Dante-esque Ninth Circle Arctic Night
without.

No, but that his demeanor looks wooden and clinical. He comes off as a philosopher more than an apologist.

Yes, he feels a bit like that.

I can't deny that he greatly influenced me though.
I'm not sure any other thinker, philosopher, apologist or otherwise has had as much influence on my thought.
And it made a difference in my own life, in that I took up his call to do theology.

I dare say the one the greatest influences in modern Christianity, particular in evangelical circles, would be Craig.
When he died, I use to think there would be such big shoes to fill, but as someone pointed out to me recently ;) there are many budding WLCs.
And then, serious Christian thinkers have just flourished and are popping up all over in their own light.

Either that or there's been some resurrection.

Every Apologist has his/her forte.
My favorite and why:
NT Wright - His views on the historical Jesus and the Kingdom of God and Paul.
Timothy Keller - Everyday life and Christ
Gary Habermas - The Resurrection
Bruce Metzger- NT textual criticism
WLC- philosophical apologetics
Michael Hesler - OT texts
John Walton - OT texts, especially Genesis.
Larry Hurtado - NT and Historical Jesus

And many more
