What?

What does that have to do anything? (I recommend you check your other thread real quick, the one titled "Different Views.")
(I underlined the odd things you've said. Once you take a look at your other thread, I hope it'll put you at more ease.)

Now, let's not get carried away and jump to any conclusions. In a sort of indirect way, God probably does care what political movements you choose to support. However, it is no absolute deciding factor in salvation, and you won't be sent to hell for being pro-abortion, however most would make the argument that it's more Christlike to be against the practice. But let's not make this about abortion, because it overshadows the original question.

Does God care that you support the Democratic party? It's really a loaded question, but in short, He wants you to discern what is moral before you pledge allegiance to any political party, and to remember to not put political beliefs above Him and the Word.

I'm not sure how a politics topic ended up in the philosophy section. So, I am sort of scratching my head here thinking if we are discussing political philosophy, but we're not really doing that either.

Either way, if the question we are asking is if a political party can resemble Christian values, then I say they absolutely cannot unless there is some serious political reform into a theocracy. That just doesn't happen in western world and never will.

When it comes down to the social issues and morality, as Christians we won't get very far by simply using political figureheads to spearhead it. These social issues that perpretrate moral abominations like abortion and gay marriage are absolutely preventable on an individual level. We simply have to be heavily engaged and ruthless in the intellectual space. If they are going to commit these abominations then at least we need to make them bite the bullet hard so they have no excuse when they come before God on the day of judgement. These social issues are for the most part deeply rooted in economic status. Abortion is a poor person moral abomination. Gay marriage is a desired tax bracket and claim to assets. So economics are what really is under the hood that motivates these moral abominations.

As far as how the government and people in general view money. It absolutely disgusting how disproportionate it is. These economic policies are actively encouraged and cannot be prevented because it is so engrained that you can stop being so poor if you worked hard enough. Thats nonsense. It is absolutely stacked and designed to make people poor.

:shakehead:

As I said in my first reply:
It is not an unforgivable sin, and it doesn't mean you are going to Hell. It doesn't mean that you are not a Christian or that you should be excommunicated from a church (although if you were a politician casting such votes, I as a pastor of a church would certainly excommunicate you from mine). It doesn't even mean that you should be shunned by other Christians. But sin is sin, and you should recognize it as such and repent of it immediately.
Learn to pay closer attention. That would be your first step towards figuring out why it is that you are in sin in your pro-infanticide, anti-family platform.

And that, brothers and sisters, is the kind of foolishness you get people who insist on denying biblical theism. A good illustration of any as the length people will go to avoid acknowledging basic truths.

I don't think it matters that much. Think of it this way:
Assuming you live in the US:
* Democrat Party Supports several anti-Christian views. For example, abortion.
* Republican Party is pretty broken right now, so pick a faction and then we can go on. However almost all seem to want to push Christian views into law without even attempting to live up Christian standards. I mean, just make a noticeable effort, a few do, but man.
* Libertarians, among other things, would probably never support Israel.
* Green Party, see Democrats.
* Independents give up a lot of power with in the parties, so they are stuck picking between the losers nominated by the above.
* Don't know enough about the Constitution Party to say much.

Also, being a part of a party doesn't mean you support all their views. My mom was a conservative for most of her life, but registered Dem until recently. Same goes for a lot of minority voters (Prop 88, or whatever it was called, in California about gay marriage was by black voters).

What matters is probably how you vote and why... not that I know if God will use my logic or not.
