Mary's pregnacy

Post by Poetic_Soul »

Talk of the town.

I can faintly hear the gathering saying
“Shhhhhh, here she comes. Here she comes.”
Like a prostitute looking for work.
Granted that the town was small and I was considered poor.
But that doesn't give anyone reason to judge me.

I'm seventeen and pregnant.
An unwedded mother to be;… becomes the talk of the town.
As if I sleep around.
But who will believe the end result?

My boyfriend is contemplating on breaking up with me.
My family ready to disown me.
Therefore I'm alone and scared
Facing my issues on my own.
Yet love is waiting within my womb.

Go ahead and laugh.
I have a secret close to my heart.
I have a blessing waiting to happen.
I have love waiting in my womb.

The town is so bothered
To wonder who is the father.
So they talk and talk and talk.
While I walk and walk and walk;….with a smile on my face.
Why?
Because love is waiting in my womb.

Their distortion
Is for me to get an abortion.
But that would take away my portion
Of what has been promised to me.
Therefore I'm blessed to be
The mother of tranquility.
Because Jesus is waiting in my womb.

:pound:
It would be a blessing if they missed the cairns and got lost on the way back. Or if
the Thing on the ice got them tonight.

I could only turn and stare in horror at the chief surgeon.
Death by starvation is a terrible thing, Goodsir, continued Stanley.
And with that we went below to the flame-flickering Darkness of the lower deck
and to a cold almost the equal of the Dante-esque Ninth Circle Arctic Night
without.

You know the more I live life, the more I see that legalised abortion is often more about the choice of others not wanting the baby born, rather than the mother who is often influenced by those around her whether it's a boyfriend, family, friends, work, society.

So much for protecting a "woman's choice".
