John 1, and the Word was with God

Post by Christian2 »

John 1:

In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.

What does it mean to say that the Word was WITH God?

Thanks.

It simply means that the Word is distinct from God the Father, and God The Holy Spirit.

Theos can refer to God the Father, God The Son, or God The Holy Spirit.
John 5:24
24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
