John 10:18

Post by Christian2 »

John 10:18:

17 This is why the Father loves Me, because I am laying down My life so I may take it up again. 18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down on My own. I have the right to lay it down, and I have the right to take it up again. I have received this command from My Father.

Why did Jesus say "no one takes it from Me" when it was the Romans who took His life?

Thanks.

The Romans crucified Him, yes, but completely with His permission. And in the end, it was Jesus who gave up His own spirit.

And that, brothers and sisters, is the kind of foolishness you get people who insist on denying biblical theism. A good illustration of any as the length people will go to avoid acknowledging basic truths.

I agree. I just wanted some confirmation. Thanks.
