Believing in YEC does not require believing that the earth is only 6,000 years old.

The predator prey relationship was brought up on some of the posts. Here is something just came across today:

The article itself doesn't go into great detail about the subject but is has links to articles that do.

Theophilus, you show me as the person you quoted at the top of your Monday 8:34 a.m. post. It should have been attributed to AbelCainsBrother.

Thanks for the links however you will not convince most YEC's the earth is not 6-10,000 years old, they are so against the words millions of years that when it is brought up they think anybody who accepts the earth is billions of years old accepts evolution, when this is not true.
And the 2nd link you posted imo shows a person having trouble reconciling the fact death and predators were on the earth before Adam and Eve's fall but if he only understood the Gap theory these are easily answered.God's word will always have an answer somewhere but we must be willing to step out of our dogma and question our interpretation to see if God's word has a better answer. The Gap theory answers the 2nd link easily however you cannot stick to the young earth interpretation and ignore the evidence.

So we won't derail this thread if there are any questions or challenges to the Gap theory you have,or you would like to better understand it,without the bias of rival creation interpretations out there, you can go to this thread I made a while back.
