Let me look at that link but first I'll say that was about the same time the Neanderthal humans came about. I think late Homo Erectus was the main hominid (or human, depending on who you ask).Philip wrote:This is enormously interesting - but what does it tell us? Dating techniques are fairly reliable. I didn't catch what method was used, however I'd say it was about that time. What does it tell us? It tells us that a group of people were smart enough to use tools and stayed near a river with a lot of plants. Apparently it was quickly preserved with a flood, else there woulda been more erosion and wear on the chert, or unless the axes were used for soft stuff only.Philip wrote:This is enormously interesting - but what does it tell us? Was it really Homo Erectus, and not another early human-hominid?
Interesting how important Israel is.

Remember, this would have been FAR pre-Israel - which was not a nation until Moses at Sinai!TheKid: Interesting how important Israel is.

Since the earth is only 6000 years old, it must be a evilutionist conspiracy!!

Yes, but the land itself and the middle/near east in general has always been an important place-Adam and Eve, Noah, Babel, Neanderthals mixing with Sapien Sapiens for the first apparent time, neolithic revolution and the first civilizations that had writing as we yet know for sure, Abraham Jacob and Isaac, many many bible prophecies, Jesus, the sacking of Jerusalem in 70 AD, the return of Israel in 1947 (give or take a few years), etc.Philip wrote:Remember, this would have been FAR pre-Israel - which was not a nation until Moses at Sinai!TheKid: Interesting how important Israel is.

You know, it is not Canon of Scripture but the Book of Jubilees records the first Old Earth Theory Text...
oh yes... the 'we' in the text refers to the watchers

-The Book of Jubilees
http://www.pseudepigrapha.com/jubilees/3.htm
Adam names all creatures, 1-3. Creaton of Eve and enactment of Levitical laws of purification, 4-14. Adam and Eve in Paradise: their sin and expulsion, 15-29. Law of covering one's shame enacted, 30-2. Adam and Eve live in Êldâ, 32-5. (Cf.Gen. ii.18-25, iii.)
[Chapter 3]
And on the six days of the second week we brought, according to the word of God, unto Adam all the beasts, and all the cattle, and all the birds, and everything that moves on the earth, and everything that moves in the water, according to their kinds, and according to their types: the beasts on the first day; the cattle on the second day; the birds on the third day; and all that which moves on the earth on the fourth day; and that which moves in the water on the fifth day.
And Adam named them all by their respective names, and as he called them, so was their name.
And on these five days Adam saw all these, male and female, according to every kind that was on the earth, but he was alone and found no helpmeet for him.
And the Lord said unto us: 'It is not good that the man should be alone: let us make a helpmeet for him.'
And the Lord our God caused a deep sleep to fall upon him, and he slept, and He took for the woman one rib from amongst his ribs, and this rib was the origin of the woman from amongst his ribs, and He built up the flesh in its stead, and built the woman.
And He awaked Adam out of his sleep and on awaking he rose on the sixth day, and He brought her to him, and he knew her, and said unto her: 'This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called [my] wife; because she was taken from her husband.'
Therefore shall man and wife be one and therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh.
In the first week was Adam created, and the rib -his wife: in the second week He showed her unto him,...
...And after Adam had completed forty days in the land where he had been created, we brought him into the garden of Eden to till and keep it, but his wife they brought in on the eightieth day, and after this she entered into the garden of Eden.

Seems obvious to me that Fallen angel/human hybrids gave them the date.Kurieuo wrote:It says 300,000 year old hearth. I don't read anything about how they got the date.

Yes. Well, since there is silence on the method used, I suppose that could be true. Did Abe do the study?RickD wrote:Seems obvious to me that Fallen angel/human hybrids gave them the date.Kurieuo wrote:It says 300,000 year old hearth. I don't read anything about how they got the date.

Yes he did, but there seems to be a huuuge gap in the data.Kurieuo wrote:Yes. Well, since there is silence on the method used, I suppose that could be true.
