Islam and science

Post by voicingmaster »

How do I refute Islam with the science the Koran holds, according to the people who advocate Islam?

They read science into it. Have them read the exact words of the Koran, and you have yourself a good copy to make sure they're not lying. Because just because a statement isn't contradicted by what has been found out, doesn't mean that's what it's really saying. Then ask them when it's been shown that the sun sets into a body of water...as that's in there too ya know.

An atheist can't find God for the same reason a criminal can't find a police officer.

You need to start asking out girls so that you can get used to the rejections.

Tell them you've never seen Muhammed and ask them to draw you a picture so you know what to look for should you run into him.

And at that point be ready to die in a painful manner.

Good answer, science doesn't favor one religion over another. Infact you would expect the science to be more accurate in the relatively more modern Koran as general knowledge precludes using literary phrases such as "four corners of the world", although I personally prefer this over "all over the globe".

Once you get passed that non-sence you can try refuting him Thiestically as one should.

However refuting others beleifs is not the best way to win converts.

Actually, that's not true. It doesn't favor atheism, Islam, or Hinduism, to name a few.

I'm not gonna argue, but just out of curiosity, how does it not?

Well...science presupposes Hinduism to be false. Hinduism says that the physical world is an illusion...which science doesn't assume. So science starts out assuming Hinduism to be wrong. Islam has some fun bloopers vs science....and atheism because of the Big Bang...this'll probably get everyone yelling infidel but as long as I don't get blown up...

Well depends on the paradigm you are using. In quantum physics the world is an illusion.

From general relativity, absolutly not.

The Universe through quantum physics lenses.
A blur of transparent dice spinning and twirling in every direction, untill you look at one then it displays a number.

The Universe through General relativity lenses.
The universe rests in a pond and the fish cannot get out, but the pond's surface bends in on itself. And then bends again in unimaginable ways. The fish do not know and cannot see this. For they bend with it and it's as if it doesn't exist to them. Above them there is a great light show, which reflects into the pond. For the fish the light show is among them.

What's with you and your odd illustrations? And how can quantum physics say the universe is an illusion? Maybe the way we think it works is wrong, but...if it says the universe is an illusion...how can it come to that conclusion?

That's why Einstein worked so hard to put quantum mechanics under the umbrella of general relativity. Because he rejected the notion that the Universe is random at its fundamental level. And he rejected the notion that the universe only existed if it was perceived. IE only when an interaction occurs.

Yes Quantum mechanics is a discomforting thing.

Will string theory or other unified theories get behind the curtain to reveal the wizard?

Funny how being part of the Universe it is fundamentally impossible to peer beyond it.
