Do you celebrate Christmas in S. Africa?
Of course, it's the biggest holiday in our country.

I thought it was too warm this time of year in S. Africa. How does Santa's sleigh move if there isn't any snow?

I thought it was just because I was naughty

Warm, yes indeed, the beaches are packed for Christmas and New Years. We do things a little differently compared to you guys....
You're way behind the times, Santa has a motorised sleigh these days.

Snow?
It snowed on Thanksgiving, but nary a flake since then. It was in the 40s and 50s up until yesterday. Now it's in the 30s.

Same as most people - Christmas (and Thanksgiving, the Fourth of July, Halloween, and Easter) are times to get together with the family, enjoy each others' company, make new memories, share old ones, strengthen generational bonds, and so forth. Christmas in my family has never been about Christ or Santa. Christmas is about family.
