Yanny or Laurel Debate?

What word do YOU hear? (Can't wait for Rick's silly answer!)

But, seriously, as people are hearing very different things, I wonder if their are important lessons in this for how people perceive a variety of things very differently. I can say something to my wife that I think is non-controversial, very simple and straight forward, and yet she'll interpret it very differently. She'll see things in a movie that blow my mind of the detail she picks up on that I largely find irrelevant - as not being the important things to be watching for. Is something Quantum going on, LOL?

I heard Yanny. If I didn't know some people heard laurel, I wouldn't have heard laurel. But when I concentrated so I could hear laurel, I did. And now when I play it back again, I hear laurel, not yanny.

It reminds me of those pictures they used to sell in the mall, (I think they were called magic eye) that looked like just a weird design. But then when you concentrate, and look at it a certain way, you can see a giraffe, or whatever. Then once you are able to see the giraffe, you can see it right away, every time you look at the picture.

I don't know what this means, but I've actually heard both.
Most of the time I've heard Laurel... listening to the radio, watching TV, and on my PC.

However I did hear Yanny once, and that intrigued me because I've heard Laurel every other time. The time I heard Yanny was when I was in the living room facing the TV, and my wife was on the PC in the living room about 10 feet to my left and slightly behind me. When she played the audio clip, I actually heard Yanny (she was sitting in front of the PC and heard Laurel).

I may experiment some this weekend to see if I can figure out what set of circumstances caused me to hear Yanny instead of Laurel.

Rick: And now when I play it back again, I hear laurel, not yanny.
This kind of blows my mind - it must be that there are frequencies I'm not hearing - it's almost SUPERNATURAL! :P

I can't believe it - just listened and I repeatedly hear Laurel. I think someone is messing with me!

Now I can just hear defense attorneys all over thinking, "Mr. Smith only THOUGHT the only witness to the murder, identified Him is "Yanny" - surely it was actually, "Laurel." y:-?

I saw this tweet - 'What if you'd called your kid Laurel and all this time they'd been hearing Yanny? y:-? '

It's so weird. I've listened to it quite a few times and heard yanny every time, except when they were talking about it on the radio and one time it was played I heard Laurel. I was stunned and thought, surely he played something different then, but it can't have been. Every time since I've only heard yanny.
