How to Highlight Webpage Text With Colors

I came across a highly useful application to use to permanently highlight information on web pages (the highlights can also be removed whenever desired) - it is called Wired Marker (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefo ... ed-marker/) - it is a free extension that works with FireFox. I just wondered if anyone else uses something similar - or perhaps better? I guess there might be similar freeware that works across multiple browsers?

What I really like about Wired Marker is that I can highlight whatever text I want, and also use different colors (just a I would a highlighter for pages in a book). Also, if desired, I can then drag ONLY the highlighted portion into folders (haven't done that yet) to copy and process as needed. But what is great is that the highlights stay on the page, so that every time you access the page, they remain. You can also remove them. I find it exceptionally useful using different colors for tracking key portions of back and forth posts from different posters on G&S threads.

So - anyone use this or something they think is superior?

I think I did it wrong. I clicked the link, then I got a popup from "animalpornfetish.us" asking for my Facebook password

Horator, you either need to be using Firefox, or using it as an add-on.
