Bomb blasts in church

Post by neo-x »

Two bomb blasts in church on sunday morning. Pray for Pakistan.
It would be a blessing if they missed the cairns and got lost on the way back. Or if
the Thing on the ice got them tonight.

I could only turn and stare in horror at the chief surgeon.
Death by starvation is a terrible thing, Goodsir, continued Stanley.
And with that we went below to the flame-flickering Darkness of the lower deck
and to a cold almost the equal of the Dante-esque Ninth Circle Arctic Night
without.

As we speak neo, a Decade Prayer of Fatima is raised to God for Pakistan as you wish, as is required as is so needed there .

You may want to keep Pakistan permanently in your prayers. Yesterday's slaughter is just the latest of many. And more will come...guaranteed.

This is how the good people at Persecution.com describe Pakistan:

Pakistan is an Islamic republic with Sharia law increasingly being forced upon Christians and Hindus. Non-Muslims practise their religion cautiously as blasphemy laws are often falsely applied to Christians, resulting in years of imprisonment for their faith...

Patriotism aside, neo-x is living in one of the worst countries in the world to be a Christian.

Neo has been my hero for some years.
But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good.

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

Well, this is a coincidence! This month's issue of Voice of the Martyrs newsletter has a lengthly article on neo's country, Pakistan. The article describes a multitude of abuses that the Pakistani Christian community has to face, from limited job opportunities, threats, jailings, beatings, rapes, slavery in brick factories, all the way to murder...it is quite awful, I assure you.

http://www.persecution.com also has a book on Pakistan, part of their RESTRICTED nations series, Restricted Nations: Pakistan is available for $7 + shipping. There is also a 25-minute DVD entitled Pakistani Voices which tells the story of Christians in northern Pakistan. Cost for the DVD is $10.

Those interested may want to buy one or the other of these resources; you'll better understand the difficult conditions that neo has to live under.
