Microchip implants in humans have been around for about a decade now. They were first used by bar patrons in Spain. The technology certainly seems consistent with the "mark on the forehead" mentioned by the writer of Revelation...but the microchips are mostly implanted into a person’s arm at the moment.

It's step in that direction but not the actual mark. Getting people used to the idea. When the real mark arrives many Christians (some Christians don't even read Revelation.....) will know because you will have to choose the mark and loyalty to whatever form and system satan has set up. I'm not 100% sure, but it will be Jesus or the devil basically. If you choose Jesus you won't be able to buy or sell or work and might even be killed on the spot.
