John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Once you understand what the Word is, then you can understand what hat verse means..

Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

1:6 And God said: Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters,

1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together into one place, and let dry land appear." and it was so.

1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herd yielding seed, and the fruit of the tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed was in itself, upon the earth: and it was so..

So what is the Word? What is God? God is Life every lasting...

If God hadn't spoke nothing would be alive.

Without God we would not exist...

Without God there would be no Life..

Without God there would be no sin since God created Lucifer who is the father of Sin.

Without God he would have no son to send to teach us and die for us.

Without God our parents wouldn't have existed and without our parents we would not exist and without our existence we wouldn't be having this discussion..

Can God die? no

Jesus died on the cross, so this means he was not God.

Paul states that God resurrected Jesus from the dead..

Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

so in the End , what is Jesus, according to Paul's own statement? Jesus is a Mortal man....

and your own Trinity doctrine debunks itself.

Image

If you look at the diagram it shows that the Father is not the Son, The Son is not the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is not the Father but yet The father is God, The Son is God and the Holy Spirit is God which would mean that The Father is the Son, The Son is The Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit is the Father..

What or who is the Word?

Are you saying that the Word is God?
John 5:24

I read the post. You said:

I'm looking for clarification. I don't want to assume what you're saying.

Could you please clarify? Who or what is the Word?

I don't understand. Do you want to have a discussion, or not?

I'm trying to understand what you're saying, so we can have a discussion. On a discussion forum.

Please answer the question.

Lonnie,

I don't have the time nor the patience to play games with you. If you can't answer my question directly, we can't have a conversation. If we can't have a conversation, there's really no point for your being here.

One last chance. Please give me a direct answer to my question.

Who or what is The Word?

Look not playing Games... you asked for clarification and I gave it.. I am sorry if you cannot read what I wrote... my Views are clear and concise and sound in scripture.

God Spoke and Life began.. what happens when we speak? words come out of our mouths .. we give our words life hence we are our words.

Look, you complained that people don't want to understand where you're coming from. And now, I'm making every effort to understand what you're saying. I'm being very careful not to make any assumptions, so I won't be discussing something that you're not saying.

If you cannot directly answer then we're going to have issues.

In the book of John, starting in John 1:1, John speaks about the Word.

So, fill in the blank:

The Word is _________.
John 5:24
24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

Deuteronomy 8:3 He humbled you and let you be hungry, and fed you with manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that He might make you understand that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.

Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, "It is written, 'MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.'"

If God had not spoken it, it would not have been provided...

Ok. So going with your belief that the Word is Life,

How do you interpret John 1:14?
14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
I'm not sure how your definition fits in this verse.

Could you explain what "the Word became flesh" means?

And, who is the only begotten of the father?
John 5:24
24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

you see you can actually define the Word with scripture but you cannot make a claim that Jesus is the God of Genesis with scripture. even Paul didn't believe Jesus was God, so how can you quote Paul as a defense???

Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Clearly Paul knew Jesus died on the cross and God raised him from the dead...
