Let me ask every believer that is a Christian which part of the following were you partakers in:

Christ crucifixion?
Christ death?
Christ burial?
Christ resurrection?
1 or 2, some or a few, or ALL??
If you put an apostrophe s on Christ, then count me in. ;)

Indeed we are sin free. We're simply awaiting our bodies of death, which are in the flesh, to perish so we can be resurrected more fully into our eternal bodies in Christ which are of the spirit. So then, we who have come to Christ are partakers in all those things you mention now, and more fully when our physical bodies perish and we are resurrected into new life with Christ.

I just re-read the last page, guess jpbg33 couldn't answer my challenge. Oh well, I just did it for him. :P

Your challenge misrepresents whats being presented.

First lets define sin? What is sin? How does one sin? How is sin accounted against the person? And what is the outcome or result of sin?

I'm not sure what you're driving at. Anyone who supports a works-based Christianity, like jpbg appeared to, then they need to be taken to the logical conclusion of their theology. That's what my previous posts to him were about before he just up and left the discussion.

Maybe I've misunderstood... But ive read this thread a couple of times. What are you equating in this convo to be works-based christianity (is this the same as work-based salvation) to you?

Just reread jpbg33's posts. He's proposing a works-based salvation, while claiming he isn't. He won't take his beliefs to their logical conclusion.

Edit:

Sorry zacchaeus,

My mistake. It wasn't in this thread. Jpbg was promoting a works based salvation in other threads.

Here's one of the threads. It's really long.

Romans chapters 6-8 explain pretty well.

Im super familiar with Romans... And i love it. But im not connecting any dots nor drawing any pictures?

And what i see scripture propose isnt something we do to be sinless but its a state or position we stand in when we are in Christ and become one with Him in covenant and communion and are actually partakers of and with Him and He imparts 'His' righteousness unto us.

Someone has pointed out that even a born-again believer will end up sinning Until they are with Jesus Christ in eternity. Before that time -- we aren't Slaves to sin as believers. We Do have the Holy Spirit indwelling us as believers to help us Not to give in to temptation. But satan is still very much in this world to make temptation look / sound Really good and attractive.

We Do have the power to say No , but we Also have our human nature to work with. And we Should have the desire to please God in everything. The desire Is there, but so is our human nature.
