I call that repressing the Holy Spirit for self glory!
it is what is to be avoided and things like this keep people away hindering, dampening, and ignoring the Holy Spirit.
I do feel sorry when people think they are doing good, use such goodness, to make themselves out to be the one that folks must follow their hidden motives for self-aggrandizement. In fact misusing, misrepresenting the ways of God without thinking they are is dangerous.
Like I mentioned before, a minister I know had Hinn come to his church once. He mentioned afterwards and openly that he would never have that man ever come and minister again at the Church under his charge. He mentioned the primadonna nature of the man expected and the extravagance demanded at the hotel he was put up in. Amazing!

Do you realize that Satan is the one who doesn't want anyone taking the Godhead seriously. And the Holy Spirit is part of the Godhead.
There are spiritual gifts that the Holy Spirit part of the Trinity gives each believer at the moment of our salvation. And there are TV personalities who take advantage of people's emotions. But they don't have to be on TV to be guilty of that.
The Trinity / Godhead is an awesome , unique 'entity' to be taken seriously -- It makes our salvation possible.
