People Think the Bible Says Pi = 3

Some people on another forum made a fatal mistake. They decided to get into an argument with me about pi. You can see the results here.

Basically, they claim that the Bible says pi = 3. The Bible makes no such claim.

If we take the Bible with way too strong scientific expectations, we find it says 2.8095 < pi < 3.2105. The actual value is within this range. If we take it reasonably, there is even less of a problem.

It helps to be a math freak and know 100 digits of pi off hand.

For the first you just have to be crazy, and the second...well it really helps to be bored in calculus...

Did you just bring up the common knowledge that bowls....have thicknesses? That's all I would have done.
