My New Supermarket

Post by Furstentum Liechtenstein »

My favorite supermarket was closed for a few weeks while they made significant renovations aimed at making ''your shopping experience more enjoyable!''

So, I went there yesterday for the Grand Opening, and - wow! - the place sure has changed! The lighting is softer, the music is muted the aisles are wider. In the fresh produce section, they've installed automatic humidifiers that spray the fruits & vegetables with a fine mist. Before the spray comes on, a far-off peal of thunder is heard, and you can smell the scent of rain. When the rain stops, the lighting gets brighter and little birds start singing!

In the Dairy section, the perfume of freshly-cut hay tingles your nose while barnyard sounds (cows mooing, chickens clucking) discreetly charm your ears.

In the Butcher shop, there is the scent of steak on the barbeque...and you can hear it sizzle!

In the Bakery section, the scent of freshly baked bread is everywhere! And cookies too! Freshly baked cookies smell soooo good!

I just love my new supermarket...but I think I'll be buying my toilet paper elsewhere.

Why am I getting the feeling that "supermarket" is a euphemism for something completely off the wall?

I'm pretty sure it was real up to and including, " Before the spray comes on, a far-off peal of thunder is heard". Several stores here do that.

FL's wife is away, so he has to be the man and the woman of the house. He likes a good supermarket conversation. Next, he'll be telling us the best way to clean an oven.

Not with you! You don't like to shop! I bet you only have one pair of shoes!

The best way to clean the oven is to get a self-cleaning oven. :D

Something like that. But when doing regular shopping with ny husband, often he does the shoping according to our list, and I go to see what is new that would fit into our household.

I do not like shopping wearings but things into our household that I like.

Aha...so you like inner beauty but are not concerned by external beauty? But...your husband is a handsome man, I've seen photos of him. Since good looks are immediately evident and attractive, did your husband's appearance have any influence on you when you first met him?

When I first met him I remember seeing him in the dark corridor and there was light behind him from the door. I rememeber his big head.

Edit:
And I am attracted by character. Beauty is just a bonus.
