I like to listen to trance personally. Not very christian music there...

Although I do also love Latin Chanting

Although it's not worship music, I would consider mewithoutYou a Christian band. Their lyrics basically a stream of confessions and highlight of the struggles of leading a righteous life in Christ. They've been one of my favorite bands for about a year and a half now.

I actually enjoy christian metal like "as I lay dying". Although i'm sure many of you ol' timers wouldn't enjoy that too much :ewink:

Also love FFDP, not really a christian band but some good messages in their music

jlay,I discussed it amongst me, myself, and I. Me and myself agree, but I thinks the difference between "Christian music", and "music by Christians", is that the first, is Christian music, and the second is music by Christians. I hope that clears it up, for you.

Why the differentiation between "Christian" and "Secular"? I think it's artificial. As far as I see it, there's "good music" and "bad music" and yes some of that is personal taste. Some of it though has to do with whether there's any redeeming value to the lyrics and message of the song. By that standard, there's "secular music" that is fantastic and there's some "Christian Music" that I can live without.

Great point, Bart. That reminds me of a youtube song that I discovered, on the Home Site of GodAndScience. While as a general opinion of mine, I can't stand rap music. But this song is as powerful a song, as any just about any I've heard. Clearly, the writer of the song, spoke from his heart.

I am Christian and I love upbeat music-and always have.
I listen to it when I want to and I see nothing wrong with it-
To not be able to listen to upbeat music would just be bondage-if you ask me.
And, I use to hear some php preach that rock-in-roll can send a person to hell-What a lie from hell
Now I don't like the Heavy metal stuff or any of the devil music coming from Manson etc.,etc.and
I will not listen to something like Hells Bells although I like the beat to it-
Not only that if I'm listening to something bad I get that little nudge feeling like that is wrong-listen to something else.
I know that yes the devil has perverted some music but I have all power over him and I don't listen to his lies-
