We need more people with a sense of humor like you!The good thing about Christian Scientists is that they don't go door-to-door harrassing people like the Witnesses or the Mormons. A few years ago, my brother-in-law was sick & tired of the twice-weekly visits to his place by local Witnesses. He tried telling them politely not to return, it didn't work. He was mean to them, it didn't work. He wrote a letter of complaint to the Kingdom Hall, it didn't work. Finally, he decided on something drastic...
On a nice Sunday morning, two Witnesses came to his door, a woman in her fourties, and a teenaged girl. They rang the bell. When my brother-in-law opened the door, he was stark naked!
The women ran off and no Witnesses have ever bothered him since.

How unloving.If any of you were to visit a Christian Science Reading Room or the Church of Christ, Scientist near you and mention which religion you are, no one would be trying to convert you or change your view or warn you that you are on the wrong path etc. You would be free to keep your religion without criticism. We would welcome you, and be available if you had a question. We would not say a word against your religion. Our way with a visitor is to assume that they know what they want and to let them be.

We may seem harsh, but we only wish to guard
Guard the true word of God that is so sacred
word that from time to time may cause hatred
It may kick someone out of his peace
Peace that is false and should cease
It is mere lie, life in the dark
I write this poem hoping for spark
It is not loving to leave someone in error
God's love is what is superior
True love in true Christ
Something many missed.
We may seem harsh, but we only wish to guard

Ann is fine with her name. Leave her alone. Could you change my name? I have come to feel that ''Furstentum Liechtenstein'' is somewhat pompous. I'd like something which better expresses my nature. I am thinking of ''Friendship & Love'' as a new name. Actually, I like ''Froot Loop'' as well! ...but I use the term to describe a certain theological bent, so it wouldn't be appropriate to use it as a screen name.RickD wrote:
