Jesus gave us Every Cure for all Sin leading to Death...aka separation from God's fellowship...aka falling into sin

1)Proverbs 1:7..The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Assuming your New Birth......then you are ready to...

2)1 John 1:8,9....
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

then you are ready to do: Luke 15:11-32...

3) Mat.16:24...Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.

then you are ready to...

4)John 15:7..."If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

understand....that these "Ifs"....are huge "Big Ifs".....that can only be done by walking in the Spirit of God.....not in the flesh...

Most people are just not that strong-willed....

and I was delivered .....by the Grace of God.......through the Way...the Power and Life of His Resurrection... :amen:

Peace and Prayer in His Name to all who struggle.....it is a day by day....daily bread of dying.....to LIVE...in His Name.....

Jcgood,

Were you delivered from all homosexual desires? I realize this is a very personal topic. So if it's too personal to talk about, I understand.

Why are you asking about my flesh?
Why are you stuck in carnality?

This is what we have to deal with here. I was hoping that jcgood would answer my question. I think what he sees as carnality should be taken as a testimony to the power of Christ in a believer's life. But apparently jcgood is more interested in playing the victim, than having rational conversations.

Seconded!

No, I am not here just to pimp out Chris White's youtube channel, but I have found that this video about his struggle to quit watching porn can be really helpful to those still struggling with it.

Porn, drugs, gambling & what not. It's all the same.

Thank you, God, that I'm not like the reader. I'm only addicted to Cheetos...and I don't wanna quit.

Kurieuo wrote:Just hand it over to Christ, and then divert your focus externally to loving others.

Of course, it doesn't mean you just ignore it or make no effort to self improve. But don't beat yourself up over it too much either. Christ has your back.

This is what the Accuser wants -- to make you feel inadequate and like you're not worthy to be an ambassador for Christ and therefore you become ineffective due to your own self-doubt.

However unworthy we are, Christ forgave and accepted us... so even if we are unworthy (and I believe we all are), we're nonetheless Christ's imperfect ambassadors.

Take confidence in the grace Christ provides and just try to allow your light to shine to others with the same love, forgiveness, understand and compassion that Christ shows towards you.
Just found this!

It is exactly what I've been telling you, Cyclops, which is why I brought this thread back to life.

(And I lied...I have no addiction to Cheetos.)
