Re: Just died..
Tina, my condolences! I hope you are mending relatively well. Allow yourself the chance to grieve. I have lost a parent at a young age thus I can sympathize. You are most likely in the state of shock, or were when you posted this, and maybe now you have moved into another stage of grief. Allow it to...

Clearly he had none because he did the usual post-and-run. His comment didn't even make sense.

Re: Stuff before marriage : /
That was a very thoughtful and, at times, scientific post there Dave, well done! The psychological issues of casual sex definitely need to be addressed in our society, but no...no...they never will be. For some reason, our society wants us to all feel like we're *just* carnal beings. Herp derp...how...

Re: Is this the way I'm supposed to feel?
Mick, Oh oh! How I loooooove Don Quixote! What an excellent story! I'm glad the analogy clicked well for you! God is absolutely our Father, for all definitions and purposes. Any good father would want to help us whenever he can, to provide for us completely, to slap us around to remind us that what ...

Re: For me...
So, so very true Dan :) It's such an easy metaphor to use to explain the loving nature of God, but then it's so easily rejected because...well...maybe it's TOO easy? :P If I could perhaps call upon this wonderful prayer squadron one more time? I'm in the market for a new job as my contract just ende...

Re: Facebook censorship on pro-life/pro-choice
Here's my take: Facebook is not out to take sides on this issue. In the instance given, Facebook apologized for removing a post of words that some people may have found offensive. There was nothing threatening or breaking of the law or the rules of facebook in her post. The picture, on the other ha...

:sargh: :soap: No child of mine will ever have the message pounded into them that they were born for no reason, will die for no reason, what they do in life is meaningless, who and what they will love in life is meaningless, that what they leave behind doesn't matter, that there is no such thing as...

Re: Ron Paul
He's a little TOO libertarian for my liking, and doesn't hold too true to the Christian ideal of supporting those who need help (the elderly, jobless, etc) through a social welfare system -- though that could be my very, very cosmetic evaluation. Otherwise, I like him. He's got a steady record, is ...

Its also a big money maker for the RCC which loved Ones of the dearly departed have contributed so Masses can be performed in order to spring the deceased Relative out of 'Purgatory' early. It keeps people glued to made -up traditions and rituals of an Institution ... something which Jesus himself ...

Facebook censorship on pro-life/pro-choice
Check out this article -- made me sick. Considering getting rid of my Facebook now, but the problem is that it connects me to so many good people. Bah!
