Re: SALVATION ISSUE

I think both fearless and Jilay, you both are right, in my opinion you are arguing upon two fundamental sides of the coin. @ Jilay Now, I do want to make it clear. I think our fruit/works/whatever are important. And when someone who claims to be a believer lacks evidence in their choices/lifestyle/e...

Re: SALVATION ISSUE

Jilay, I totally empathize with what you are saying here, and no offense is taken. However, an emotional appeal is not a qualifier for scriptural understanding I hope you understand my point, our interpretations could be different, I have utter respect for that. It was not a emotional appeal just an...

Re: SALVATION ISSUE

I have to agree with FearlessLlearsy here, he very throughly explained talking up the cross, I will just add a few things - that taking up the cross also means persecution. To carry your cross means to be ready to lay down your life for Christ. It is absolute surrender. When Jesus said "carry y...

Re: The Earth looks old..

It isn't actually that difficult, consider tectonic plates beneath us, they are moving, and the most prominent effect of theirs is the Himalayan mountain ranges that affects the world's climate, makes the monsoon and provides rainfall to 1/3 of the entire Earth's population. The Himalayas are the yo...

Re: Speaking in tongues.

I have seem some cases translated and most of them was a rebuke or prophecy from God, some of them even turned out to be as predicted. I haven't translated any tongues my self but do know about 3 different I speak. Some very good friends of mine have this gift but the translation is not always done....

Re: Was Adam the first human?

Mayten, I must confess, I am not more qualified either but anyways from what I know, Fossils back in tha range of 50000-100000 years do no belong to Homo Sapiens exclusively but also to other classes of Homo species (at least one) which became extinct at around 12000 - 30000 b.c. Civilization by all...

only illiterate atheists, who does not have a clue about history, blow this trumpet, there are translations because language evolves and so does understanding, dictionaries are updated every year. but i bet even if you tell it, they won't accept. so do not take it seriously.

Re: What makes a person atheist?

I used to be an atheist but believe me there is no logical reason for being an atheist, it is ignorance and rebellion. you can read an article I wrote on my blog "Human Suffering: An Atheist’s excuse for denial" I must mention that I don't go easy on atheism(my whole blog is about debunkin...

Re: What are the Strongest points of Theistic Evolution

Thank you neo-x for your insightful post. One minor problem is that yours questions are "complex questions" which means you leave me no space to give a legitimate answer. Basically, it would be a lose/lose situation either way right?... Mhm, very interesting I LOVE THAT You could have add...

paul, dating is not a problem in a broad sense, consider documented evidence, these bones are not like contemporary man, whatever date they have, its before Adam. I agree Bible does share scientific truth, just not in all cases and it should not be expected of it.

Re: Question about Stephen Hawkings M-Theory

hawking's book "the grand design" lists help from M-theory to prove his points, by the way, M-theory is a super version of string theory. please note, m-Theory is not complete, can not be completely tested and is not universally accepted. string theory implies that there are almost 11 dime...
