The big thing confusing me is, if God can be benefitted by us (for doing good for ourselves as you put it), is He not quite as perfect as most say He is?

A discussion in my philosophy class led to the point of godly perfection, and where worshipping God is beneficial to him. My question is, does worshipping God benefit him (makes him happy, and he's unhappy when one doesn't worship him)? And if he can be benefitted by us, does that make him imperfect...

I have faith (complete trust or confidence) in a multitude of things that I've deemed as sensible, yes.

You know? I'd really like to see Bill Nye go at it with Hugh Ross, or some other prominent old-earth creationist, in a debate. Imagine his surprise when he discovers they exist!

Philip, those claims are unsupported, and slanderous. You still vastly misunderstand me, and what I'm saying. I'm neither pro-Israel or pro-Iran, but I see neither as truly 'good.' I abandoned this conversation out of respect, and I'm disappointed you're not doing the same.
