Re: What's the abyss made of?
The Abyss is made of left-wing socialist media cheerleaders, planned parenthood, spiders, anchovies and all of it is funded by Soros worldwide. :econfused: y:O2 What was the question? lol My question was what is the abyss made of? As I said Wikipedia says it's underground water, like the sa...

Re: He says it better than I can even if its hard to decifer
Are you telling me that for decades you've been sitting in Australia seething over the American media coverage of our various presidents' various plans to secure our southern border? That seems strange to me. Why would you possibly care? Australian mass media (all media here) regurgitates whatever ...

Re: Jehovah witnesses
ABC's right, it doesn't make sense for a Christian to say Jesus isn't God for if He wasn't, how could Jesus pay for the world? Only God could do this since an infinite being can take eternal punishment one time while created beings get punished for eternity since God is eternal. There's verses in th...

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?
For those who don't know there are atheists who believe there's a higher supernatural power, just not a god.

Re: Is being an atheist irrational?
Jesus asked, "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?" Why do you suppose the most famous carpenter in the history of mankind, from the dusty village of Nazareth, located in an insignificant corner of a mighty fine Earth, who most assuredly changed...

Re: Advocates for the Framework interpretation
Yes, in fact the majority of creation accounts start off with either a watery chaos, darkness, or both. The Hebrew account doesn't deny it, it just affirms God is above the other gods. A blatant example of this is how the sun moon and stars are delegated to just being guides and rulers rather than ...

What's the abyss made of?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abyss_(religion)
Here it says the abyss is water below the earth. I thought it was some other dimension completely.

Re: Advocates for the Framework interpretation
Yes, it seems to me a valid framework to interpret Genesis through. creation-framework.png Related to this I noticed a series of progression. The first day had some of the basics, light, darkness, formless earth covered with water, day 2 progresses with the sky, day 3 even more with land and plants...

Re: Understanding the Trinity
There's no need for Atheist or any disdained unbelievers to slander and demonize the church, it's doing an awesome job of it on their own. Christian's are bent on demonizing one another. They build themselves up by tearing one another down. I agree, I'm starting to get annoyed by it, but then again...

Re: Understanding the Trinity
TheKid: Sometimes I wonder why there is a specific reason God is in a trinity. Why not have 4? 5? Because that's not what He is. TheKid: Of course God could have more persons ... No He could not, as He does not change. He is what He is - which is why He is "I Am." TheKid: Why 3? Because G...

Re: The possibility of evil is good? Love of good vs Hate of evil
This sort of brings in the question why did God not spare the angels, but had mercy on humans. Any ideas? So far I see a few: Bc we were made in His image, we were tempted, we were on earth and not heaven, or that we were more ignorant than the angels, which ties with us being on earth and not heaven.

Re: Understanding the Trinity
Sometimes I wonder why there is a specific reason God is in a trinity. Why not have 4? 5? Of course God could have more persons, but why 3? What is so special about 3? Ik that it has a special connotation, kind of like 7, and 3 is sometimes used as a good luck number.
