Re: Sunday Assembly: a church for unbelievers
Okay...starting at the bottom and working my way up. And here's where you lost me. What does it mean "within the space already defined ..."? Who defined this limitation? I certainly didn't. On the contrary, all along I've been saying the first uncaused cause, by definition, must be unbound...

Re: The Foolishness of Many Non-believers
So you have no beliefs about God? Christian or otherwise? I really wonder what "non-belief in" means. For example, I believe in Christ, because I trust that Christ is the way to be saved from my deserved punishment from an all-righteous God. To say that I have " non-belief in Christ&...

Re: Is God Really Omnipresent?
I get the idea of a 'God is every where' thing.
But every where is not connected to ever where else at the same time.
Events 'ripple' across reality...Which, so far as we know...Are limited by the maximum speed at which they propagate.
The speed of light.

Um...if god is omnipresent....how does the limitation of the propagation of the speed of light affect them/it?
Just a thought....

So, for FlawedIntellect and Jac3510 and any others. Are you at all familiar with philosophy, particularly the classical kind? No, pretty much not at all...Or other than the occasional snippets which get strung through an articale of the intellectual magnitude of "New Scientist" If not, I w...

Re: The Foolishness of Many Non-believers
You may have misunderstood the Catholic Church's position vis-a-vis infant baptism. While we profess one baptism for the forgiveness of sin (in other words the sacrament of baptism cannot be repeated), not all baptized are considered Christian since some may have become apostates. * Nods...

Re: The Foolishness of Many Non-believers
Now I respect some infant baptized Atheists may like self-describing themselves as a "Christian Atheist", but no doubt the far majority of Atheists out there would very much despise being associated as Christian in any way, shape or form. * Quickly raises hand * Quick post. Um...that was ...

Re: Extraterrestrial life
So...given where life on this orb has been found and given the sheer size of the reality we find ourselves in? The chances of some other orb having the possibility of life would seem to be better than a one off chance. The problem is the distances between such orbs is so vast that getting to/from an...

Sorry to seem like possibly jump in. Really? Because what you present is logical contradiction. Um...why is it a contradiction, logical or other wise? You cannot have two omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, self-existent beings. As Byb presented, I suggest you investigate the classical view of meta...

Oh, but wouldn't have your dedicated Catholic mother have baptized you as an infant, just like Hitler's? You may have Atheistic beliefs now, but welcome to Christianity. y>:D< Bravo on the irony scale of things. Glad to see some one's understanding things. So... now what I am fits people's definiti...
