Re: Kurieuo Stepping Down

Oh no ! First B.W. and now Kurieuo steps down. :( Do we need to find a new replacement moderator ? Preferably someone who's a brilliant scientist and an expert theologian! with a heart of gold and who is a paragon of humility, has incredible patience and razor sharp intuition, a witty sense of humor...

Re: Lord's Prayer: Pope May Change Verse's Wording?

"leads us" versus "do not let us"... We can fall back on our intuition and ask ourselves, as a parent "Would I prefer to lead my children away from temptation or would I prefer to not let them fall into temptation ?" I'm a little partial to 'leading away from' rather th...

Re: Your Apps are Tracking Your Every Move!

Reminds me of my kid's mobile. I turned off the data service, and the apps took control of the phone and switched data service back on and started downloading stuff  Turning off geolocation on your phone doesn't help much either.....https://www.techrepublic.com/article/your-smartphone-can-be-...

Re: Lord's Prayer: Pope May Change Verse's Wording?

The issue: https://www.foxnews.com/world/pope-francis-wants-to-change-line-of-our-father It seems that the Pope wants to change “lead us not into temptation” to “do not let us fall into temptation” - I think the former implies that we are asking for a lead by the Holy Spirit and then we make our ow...

Re: Radical possbilities of man-made DNA

This guy has no idea what dangers lie in what he's doing! As well, he's asserted what is only an assumption, that evolution has been optimizing the molecules of life for billions of years. But his team has merely synthesized from what already exists. This is the mentality of scientists who are will...

Re: Wow, the ark's float test is ready!

Awesome. It costed only $5 mill to build. I bet there would be some crazy/smart people (depending on the weather) that would pay a handsome sum to take a cruise on that thing.

Re: Murderer's logic on sin

“He said God made him this way, so why should he ask for forgiveness?” she said. “He said God knew everything he did.” So, he's a Calvinist? Looks like a classic case of made-up theology 'on the run'. The guy get's caught, tries to justify his actions with some hacked-up theological excuse....
