Re: N.Y. adopts law allowing abortion up to nine months
I think the nuances of such laws are relevant. Do I think third trimester abortions are ethical, no I don't. The mere suggestion is confronting. But when I read the parameters of the bill, from a medical perspective I understood a little more. "when the mother’s life was in danger or the fetus ...

Re: Does black privilege exist?
Privilege exists on the notion that it's acquired by birthright, race, wealth and social position. It's inherently not a bad thing because we can't choose to what advantage we are born. But we can have the sense of good character to recognise when it has been randomly allocated to us. That boils dow...

Re: Remembering...
I've watched that speech so many times and it never fails to hit me right in heart. I was about 8 when I first heard it, by that time Martin Luther King Jr was long passed. I was bored on the weekend, trying to escape cricket or some other sport on Australian TV when I came across a documentary abou...

Re: Your Apps are Tracking Your Every Move!
Reminds me of my kid's mobile. I turned off the data service, and the apps took control of the phone and switched data service back on and started downloading stuff  Turning off geolocation on your phone doesn't help much either.....https://www.techrepublic.com/article/your-smartphone-can-be...

Re: Animal sacrifice at the temple has begun
Interesting videos......thanks Stu I was quite proactive a couple of years ago speaking out against the madness I saw in how some Christians and churches were trying to usher in the second coming of Christ by funding and welcoming the rebuilding of the temple. It frustrated and angered me to some ex...

Wish you well K. I haven’t been around much at all lately but I’ve always valued your presence and input even when we were at total logger heads. All the best.

Re: The name of Jesus?
It’s very sad when someone thinks that we have to call out to Jesus in a certain dialect to be calling on Him. Crazy that within all the nuances of language and interpretation that anyone would think that belief could ever be reliant on specific wording and understanding if someone trusts in the sal...

Re: Christian Counselor
I can quite literally get a counselling diploma through a 12 week course online. I’m not saying there’re aren’t good or even great counsellors but training is vitally important when dealing with addictions and behaviours. If someone has a serious medical condition would they see a trained doctor or ...

Re: A new low has been reached...
I think this new low is totally devoid of class. Even within the realms of sordid affairs and Presidential scandal. Despite my initial laughter, it’s a pretty scandalous and unnecessary blow although with Trumps antics is it any surprise the man is suffering with little **€€ syndrome.

Re: Christian Counselor
I just want to add that if you’re dealing with personal hurdles I would recommend a trained professional like a psychologist and not a Christian counselor who may be highly tainted with personal dominational bias.
