Re: Supernatural Debt Reduction and The Thousandfold Princip

What some call "seed faith" is at its root, "greed faith." I've always thought Dr. Robert Schuler's motives were above reproach when his organization built its huge Crystal Cathedral. I still do, but his organization went bankrupt, and the cathedral is becoming an ugly Catholic ...

Re: Gay Rights

To me, many who feel same-sex attractions seem egotistical. For me, they're too self-preoccupied. In my opinion, our duties usually determine our rights, not the other way around. My parents had a right to do the morally right things they needed to do to feed, shelter clothe, and protect my siblings...

Re: Distributism

Bill, I clicked on the link, and I don't see a third right arrow. Perhaps, you could just link the lecture directly. Oops! I don't know what went wrong. After I clicked the link, I saw what I called a "right-arrow" when I should have called it a triangle that lay to the right of a picture...

Distributism

Everybody, I believe distributism needs to replace capitalism. To see whether you agree with me, please follow this (http://distributistreview.com/mag/?s=ferrara), click the third right-arrow, listen to the lecture, and share your thoughts. I'm eager to hear your criticisms of what the speaker says ...

Dan, I happy to hear that Our Lord helped you through me. Believe me, my friend, I need to remind myself of what my post reminded you of. After all, I'm the most imperfect person I know.

Re: Truth and knowledge : Not relative and not plural

I think knowledge is justified true belief. But it's hard to tell what what requirements a evidence needs to meet to change a true belief into a piece of knowledge. Sir Karl Popper discovered what a professor of mine called "the asymmetry between confirmation and refutation." The idea is t...

Re: Benny Hinn

Thank you for that testimony. That is so desperately tragic about that girl. It makes me so angry that there are people out there that will do that. One thing that makes me instantly sure that they are frauds is the fact that they would go on TV in the first place and start showing off their "...

Re: Benny Hinn

During a charismatic Mass, I floated to the cement floor when a faith healer priest put two fingers on my shoulder. Although I didn't feel any physical pain when I landed, before volunteers put me back into my wheelchair, I sobbed for 20 minutes. From then on, I quit obsessing about whether Christ w...

Re: aruging don't waste my time

I heard an online discussion between Dustin Segers, a professional apologist, and two atheists. One atheist asked, If you were going to convert me, how would you do it. Segers replied with something like this, "I don't convert anyone. The third Person of the Trinity does that. I just tell other...

Re: Just playing devils advocate for atheism

Dare I ask what may the male equivalent of your door knocker may be, something that if it fails the nipples could conveniently replace? Who's assuming that teleology always implies that every object with a purpose needs to another object to substitute for it if it fails? St. Thomas Aquinas teaches ...

Re: Just playing devils advocate for atheism

I've heard that nipples may just have an aesthetic value, yeah like for going to the beach. Just saw some study that said hair on your arms helps you detect lice. Purpose or not I pretty much agree with what everybody else wrote. Whether they have aesthetic value or not, maybe some things that have...

Re: Why do many christians not like homosexuals?

When does two men or two women having consensual sex when you don't even know that it is happening hurt you? And how does being gay kill? Here's a link to a doctor's article about the health risks of homosexual sex. http://www.catholiceducation.org/articles/homosexuality/ho0075.html I care about wh...

Re: Why do many christians not like homosexuals?

I doubt that homosexuality is genetic. If it is genetic, why have the sexual orientations of some identical twins differed from those of their twins?

Re: Good argument against Deism?

Anyone know of a good argument against deism? It seems to answer the presuppositional problems of where laws of logic and natural laws come from ...I'd appreciate any help, thanks! I'll need to reflect on your question. Meanwhile, to me, deism's god seems immoral because he's indifferent to his cre...
