Questions and discussion about missionary organizations...

Hello everyone, I was wanting to know first off if there are any of you who have ever done missionary work outside the US? If so, I was wondering, from what you have seen are people from non westernized nations much more receptive to the gospel? For quite sometime I imagined that they are but I didn...

Re: Another finding of human/hominid interbreeding...

Great point Gman, I certainly hope you are right and that I'm wrong. Before the interbreeding thing came up I was under the impression that the darwinian camp was in the process of crumbling. In addition because of the rise in popularity of intelligent design and popular books by Michael Behe and St...

Re: Another finding of human/hominid interbreeding...

Well let's see, personally I"m ok with becoming a theistic evolutionist if but only IF, the evidence fully and specifically points in the direction of macro evolution. If you want to see my "back up plan" or as I would put it "back up plans" with an S, this thread fully expl...

Re: Another finding of human/hominid interbreeding...

Thanks for the response Gman, I was curious then, if something like this doesn't prove or swing in favor of darwinian evolution (or at least in the sense of human evolution) then what kind of hoop will they have to jump through in order to accomplish such a task? I thought according to Fuz Rana's re...

Another finding of human/hominid interbreeding...

Hello again, this thread has to do with this one that I put up several weeks ago, where I discussed possible interbreeding of humans and neanderthals http://discussions.godandscience.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=34879&hilit=human+interbreeding&start=30 The topic on this thread has to do with ...

Re: Case for Christian Theism and it's proper use in debates

Wait a minute! Don't accuse me of basing my entire faith on the big bang. It may be a crucial and major piece of evidence that intellectually supports my belief in a god and in Christian Theism, but it isn't the main part or the only part of my faith. You really have things twisted around. On my ove...

Re: Assurance of salvation (a couple of things I found)

That's an odd response, I was expecting something more like this " you have to feel God's spirit within you" or "have some sort of confirmation experience" or " you have to be possessed and controlled by God's spirit in a way that all you are essentially "God's robot&qu...

Re: Case for Christian Theism and it's proper use in debates

Well primarily I'm not happy with the fact that you like to demonize myself and other people here who are old earth creationists, or people who adhere to evidentialist apologetics, and basically use their brains instead of their hearts, emotions, blind faith, and dogma. Not only that, I"m still ...

Assurance of salvation (a couple of things I found)

Hey everyone regarding assurance of salvation, while doing some research I came across these links. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zu6f1o_OvFY http://www.faithalone.org/news/y1993/93march3.html Now the video clip talks about the three standard evidences trusting God's word, Fruit of the Spirit, and ...

Those who are interested can go here, http://www.reasons.org/best-tnrtb-gravitational-lenses-measure-universe RTB released a recent article talking yet another piece of evidence that shows even more that the universe and our earth are older, much older, than six thousand years! Re: Case for Christian Theism and it's proper use in debates

Well first off you have everything wrong about the context of my original post. I was referring to professional style philosophical debates on God's existence. When debating a atheist whether it be online or anywhere Because we can't get God to supernaturally appear right before the eyes of us and t...

Re: Case for Christian Theism and it's proper use in debates

I see, I was mostly just voicing my displeasure with one of the "closed minded" believers here who for quite sometime is been trying to paint me as a lost person. He's starting to remind me of the anti-intellectual, hateful, Bible thumpers that inhabit the small Kentucky town that I live i...
