Re: 2012

End of the world?? well... as to explain it. One person gave me some links to look for on hell. Then due to the links on YT on the right... suddenly looked on this. And to say, all were so that it looks like 21/12/2012 is the end of the world. Worse, evidence against it is non-existent. Some argumen...

Re: What are the top arguments atheists should NOT use?

Sure :) but then atheists could claim that Bible is false... if it isn't literal. True, with more science we discover it to be more true and reliable. But still, how to see for example God taking earth and making a man? Anyway, another good point. Any ideas? Bible says hell is fire, brimstone, demon...

Re: Who has read the entire Bible?

hehe ;) good luck Lufia! How far u r so far? :D I continue slowly now... :P Yes it is so. To understand God we have lots of questions. And with it a lot of doubts too! I wonder - if 1 reads the entire Bible do the questions calm down or even more? Bible is a nice book to read to have God's Word, but...

Re: War

Yeah I read this article before... like 2 years ago when I first heard about it. Thing is, our brain is so that it stays satisfied for a while after such an answer, and then new questions start to arise. Read this one and probably all on apologetics section some while ago. Looks like all who don't k...

Re: War

Good point BW :) The thing is being born an atheist decreases the chance of being a believer, and being born into a believer environment increases this. As an example take some nations in the OT who were there at the time of Israelites. For some reason they were unbelievers and hated God - or just d...

Re: War

Exactly what i was saying long ago! :P But yeah then free will comes into this. But predisposition etc play a role. Imagine yes you are lucky to be a nice person and live in Canada. Now imagine you lived somewhere near bad people or disbelievers so maybe you would be like that and then who is to bla...

Re: Disasters

Yeah nice DaC... read more into that and seem quite interested in this kind of stuff :P Thing is, I did not like to read stuff about IL and so because I did not understand what was going on and the fighting and anti-semitism but looks like after some time I may understand more and hence be intereste...

Re: Another theory on reality + this world, free will etc

Hehe nice answer B.w.! :) BTW what you studied as your major? Yes I have heard of those people who on their exam have like 2 hours; while everyone writes they do something in half a minute and get the best grade! ;) that's sweet, but only if it works... one can also risk having the worst grade if hi...

Re: Disasters

Good post DaC... not the most pleasant stuff to read, but, there was this question whether it is better to be comoforted by a lie than hurt by truth. Well it seems those things seem scarily true... :( I mean, after reading all of that it really looks the prophecies have been fulfilling. I don't know...

Re: God on OT vs. God nowadays etc...

Uhh it looks like you both are pretty much saying the same thing :) that is that we have a choice... OK so now - should we understand God hardening his heart as "he hardened his own heart [just as anyone evil does nowadays] but God allowed him to do so" -so in essence his hardening was the...

Re: War

Hmm... strange - so why were those angels there then? We don't see that today do we? And yes good point with the DNA. It looks like today there are soo many people with "altered" DNA. I would say this is due to mutations. Then there is another thing I maybe would post on a thread - why is ...

Re: God on OT vs. God nowadays etc...

It is not really paradoxical. For example, if the Sun hardens clay is the Sun enforcing its will upon the clay, or is the nature of the clay simply reacting to the heat of the Sun? Similarly, I see such was likely the case with God and the hardening of Pharaoh's heart. Ah good point Kurieuo! Well i...

Re: Another theory on reality + this world, free will etc

good question moshiya... well I guess that's what humanity always wondered - what is the truth? But can the truth be defined? I think there are more truths. Some things are objective, some subjective. For example, it is true that 2+2=4 by definiton. It's also true that diamond is harder than ice. Bu...

Re: War

I do not think that since their King had hardened his heart then all people had to die. My belief is that the total destruction of certain inhabitants in the area was due to the spread of the nephilim. interesting stuff! OK so - who were those nephilim? read about them. Now as christians and humans...
