Re: I need help. (female problems.)
Thank you. Here's a little about me to determine if I meet those qualities. I'm very passive (working on that). I usually just let people push me around, without any sort of movement after it. This I will not allow to get pushed around in. :P. I am very kin to pray for the things I want in a woman....

Re: I know a girl that is an existentalist.
It's been a while since I read up on that belief system, but I seem to remember the best way to sum it up would be to say: "They view the human condition as a great cosmic tragedy. It is the curse of a man to be able to realize the hopelessness of the world around him, yet be capable of imagini...

Re: I need help. (female problems.)
The best advice I know how to give is this, and I'm going to preach on #3: 1. God has someone in mind for you. DON'T stress over if she's the answer to that prayer. If she is, it will happen. If she's not, from experience I can say, "you don't want it to." I'm 25. Been there....... 2. When...

Re: Using the Lord's Name in Vain
While using God's name as if it were a swear word is obviously not good, I don't think that's what the verse is trying to say. Think to a marriage. The wife takes her husband's name, doesn't she? Wouldn't she be taking that name in vain if she had absolutely zero intention fidelity in the marriage? ...

Re: How can we use our materialistic goods to serve God ?
I think Paul hit on this a little bit through several different verses, but I don't think that we are supposed to live in tiny houses with one light bulb and no posessions. I think that God enjoys giving us "stuff", but he wants us to use them appropriately. By that I mean he wants us to l...

Re: Killing for human organs
While I didn't read the article, I do have a little comment I'd like to add. I have come to believe that the girl I've been dating is the one who God made for me. That's another story though. ;-) However, when she was a child she was the recipient of a liver transplant. Without that transplant, she ...

Re: Why would God raise humans through evolution?
In a nutshell, I feel that science is the how and spirituality is the why. It's easy to confuse the two and have either one make assertions that are best answered by the other. To support my point above, look at a large building and compare it to the universe. When that building is in the planning s...

Re: DOES GOD TAKE US THE WAY WE EVEN WITH SINS
Truboyy, I think you're looking for a simple answer, but you've asked a difficult question. I think you're asking, "Does/can God still love me despite all the things I do?" If that's your question, then the answer is a thundering "YES!" God has more love for you than anybody can ...

Re: Eternal Security (OSAS)... Scripture ONLY
That pretty much sums up what I currently glean from the bible on this matter by balancing all sides of scripture together. The Greek word translated save in the bible is an interesting word to look into. I find that I can rest in him, from this, I can do his will, and when I screw up – it’s off to...

I was raised Southern Baptist, and still attend the same church. We've had several pastors ranging from the hellfire-and-brimstone 'God is gonna kick you out of heaven if you mess up" type, to the kind of pastor who believes 'You and I cannot possibly wrap our heads around the level of love and...

Re: Any NFL fans out there? How about that Tebow?
Is tebow a horrible role model? A modest, fit, loving, caring, missionary why devoted his life to Jesus Christ? Yup. Maybe he'll grow up one day and do a porn video, get arrested 10 times for a DUI, and spend all of his money on drugs. Nobody wants a role model who is loving, honest, and faithful. ...

BW, here's my view in a condensed version that leaves some supporting viewpoints out, but I'm looking for your opinion on it: Where sin is practiced faith is weakened. Where faith is practiced, sin is weakened. Since faith is the door of our salvation, unchecked sin could eventually overpower and de...

Re: What are we supposed to do?
Short, I may be way off base here, but I'll answer your question to the best that I can, drawing on how I've felt in the past. It sounds to me that you may be a new believer, or at least one who is now taking his faith more seriously. Either one is wonderful. In fact, each and every one of us falls ...

Re: What too many Christians do
I'm not here to try and defend any particular viewpoint, but I think that not everyone is supposed to be good at apologetics. Paul says that we are all baptized into one body, and that body has many parts. The very same guy who couldn't argue his way out of a paper bag could be the same guy who has ...

Re: Secured Salvation
John 6:44 44 No-one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him [/u], and I will raise him up at the last day. On an entirely different subject (the underlined), predestination anyone? Sorry, couldn't help pointing that out, considering how the subject has exploded on the scene recently....
