thk u. The quote exactly. If all of us can do that, I think we won't need to be afraid of pure Christian critic disrupting the forum. Our 1st response would be a gentle answer but if it become apparent that the posting is just meant to disrupt...ignoring it could be the most wise response. Everyone ...

Read quite a couple of commentary. All all them except 1, liken it to the Jews & Gentile issue. That the Jews received 1st, but the Gentiles responded later. The one that differ gave the answer I was looking for. Chp 19 talk about the man who was told to sell all in order to be perfect. Peter th...

The 1st shall be last?

While I think I understand it's application in other instances, I don't think I understand why Jesus said that after the parables of the labourer who're hired at different hour. Mt Henry liken it to the Jews & Gentiles...but I'm not convince. Mt 20: 14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will ...

Some claim that the role of a prophetress differs from a Pastor. A prophetress merely interpret or communicate the message of God, while a Pastor had to lead the chuch not just in word but also in many other areas. Deborah however was also a judge. Yet some maintain that she merely play the role to ...

Adding a new twist.
Would having a prophetress be enough to justify allowing woman Pastors?

Pls stick to this technicality alone.

Alcohol works as an antiseptic. It helps to purify the water. This is one purpose that people use wine as a drink in the early days. This probably don't apply anymore with modern technology. For me, when I drink, I can feel that I'm more relax & have a much lowered guard on what I do not usually...

My humble opinion. They got into a ship & they found only 1 loft of bread. The disciple was afriad that Jesus would blame them for not bringing enough food when Jesus was refering to the leaven bread of the pharisees. Jesus was disappointed by their reaction....& goes somewhat like: Why can'...

Job friends

Most...if not all the words that Job friends said, do ring true on their own accord.
Can a preacher use these passages to warn people about the danger of sin, or these passages could only be use to reflect the ignorance of Job friends to the real reason for Job plight?

Invitation Hymn

A minister was completing a temperance sermon. With great emphasis he said, "If I had all the beer in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river." With even greater emphasis he said, "And if I had all the wine in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river." And then...

this is exactly what christians do except with their book the bible jews, mormons, etc. These holy books weren't written by any god, they were written by man, men who claimed their god talked to them, its all faith I think ur statement above is generally fair. There is a great percentage of people ...

If you're interested to sort out the differences, get those bible with both KJV & NIV side by side.
These 2 version cover essentially the 2 main approaches of trranslation.

For me, my favourite in NKJV, tho my church uses KJ only.
