Re: Here are some quotes. Anyone with thoughts to share?
Trump's base isn't really conservative though. The diehard Trumpers are right wing populists. I doubt that many dedicated members the MAGA crowd will really care about this. America first and all that. On the other hand, the Senate Republicans mostly are conservatives. They're politicians, so they'...

Re: Inaccuracies?
Bible chronology is one of my special interests. Here is my diagram summarizing the life of Jesus. Key event point to his death in AD 30 and his age at death to be about 33. Your reference to his age was when he started his ministry, not when he died. https://i.pinimg.com/564x/a7/dd/92/a7dd926d2e8b2...

Re: Quote William Booth
I don’t mind giving credit where credit is due, when it comes to former men of God like William Booth and Charles Spurgeon, even though one was from a Wesleyan background and the other Calvinist.

Quote William Booth
A friend sent me this old quote. Very insightful, don't you think? Although, probably truer of the 21st century. “The chief danger of the 20th century will be religion without the Holy Spirit, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics witho...

Re: Animal sacrifice at the temple has begun
If the Jews build the temple, and plan the resumption of animal sacrifice, then they are rejecting the final sacrifice of God's lamb, Jesus - right? And if Christians support the temple project with enthusiasm and finance, then they are complicit in that rejection - right? So, what Im saying is that...

Re: Animal sacrifice at the temple has begun
So, we have Christians who consider Israel’s homeland regathering as a coincidence, and other Christians who give money to their rejection of God’s lamb. Is there a middle view here?

Sounds to me like conservatives voted for a mongrel in order to get rid of a witch. Was there no other option?

Why don’t Republicans simply say, we were wrong; the ‘Never Trumpers’ were right!

Re: Can we improve the 10 commandments?
Can we improve the 10 commandments? I can think of some * thou shall not rape * thou shall not own slaves The 10 commandments are a simple summary of God’s law. Basically, God is saying, “If you are too obtuse to understand what my ‘law of love’ is, then, here is what it is not.” stealing your neig...

Re: Chronology of the Kingdom
Moses was around 15-1200BC right? Off the top of my head that was so. Thanks for replying thatkid. Most chronologies start at a few provable dates during the reigns of the kings. Then they work backwards to Adam. I only go back as far as Abraham. Thats about my limit before getting into water too d...

Chronology of the Kingdom
Piecing together the jigsaw of Bible chronology is not an easy task, so claims of pin-point accuracy concerning ancient dates tend to get dismissed. Is it not more reasonable to say, "approximately?" However, the internal chronologies of the Old Testament are more accurate than previously ...
