Re: Scientists discover the world's first known warm-blooded
The headline is a bit misleading as endothermy has long been known in a variety of fish. Such as is of interest and value in the article is in any case lost on those whose best response is some crude jape . Audie, There you go again with your derogatory terms for Japanese. :shakehead: Its descripti...

Re: Resurrection of jesus christ
Kenny so your saying that a group of scientists concluded that the shroud was a medieval forgery right? Your talking about the 1988 c 14 tests . And this proved to you beyond a reasonable doubt that the shroud is a medieval forgery right? No. I misunderstood what “Essential Sacrifice” said; I thoug...

Re: I'm a Christian and I'm struggling with homosexuality
thanks for sharing. Just finished book called, Out of a Far Country, that I would highly recommend. Excellent. Or, anything from Rosaria Butterfield. K is right on the money. You aren't "gay." You are a person who experiences same sex attraction. If you are a believer, you are a child of G...

Re: Cosmological Argument from Contingency
I haven't given an answer.
I've not even presented this argument. I'm simply pointing out that your objection to #3 is ridiculous, self defeating, and at odds with your alleged humility ("I don't have all the answers.")

Argument from ignorance. How about this. "I don't like where this points so I'll appeal to ignorance." You're obtuse. Wow! Bet you learned that little slight in 3rd grade huh? There is a saying Doubt the one who knows all the answers, trust he who seeks answers. Nothing wrong with admitti...

Re: Is God's Love Unconditional?
Repent means to go in a new direction. Totaly foresaking your old ways and imbracing a brand new way of doing things. Turning away from destructive things and embracing everthing godly, I am today a new creation in Christ , the old me died yesterday , and he is no longer around, Because I know live...

Re: Introduction to Biblical Nonsense Part 1: Noah's Ark
Let me get this straight. The miracle of Noah's flood isn't believable because God should have used a different miracle, or just had Noah move. Ok.
If the first miracle is true (creation) then all miracles are plausible.

Re: Cosmological Argument from Contingency
I cannot go along with #3, I don't think we know enough about the Universe to exclude this option. As far as #5; as I said previously, I can't make the leap that whatever is responsible for the Universe is also kind, perfect, all knowing, and all the other adjectives people attach to God. Ken What ...

Re: But here is the big question:Why did God create us?
Thank you for the caring repsonse. I wish I could say I was doing better with my faith right now like I said I would be in my earlier post, but there are still so many problems I am having intellectually right now with my faith. One of those talking heads is me! I am a thinker, and I cannot help bu...

Re: But here is the big question:Why did God create us?
Wow. B.W, that was truly profound. I must admit, I am still dealing with a lot of doubt with my faith right now and I just don't feel very close to God. I have been researching things like genetic homosexuality, arguments against O.T events, and just philosophical arguments against God in general, ...

Re: Is God's Love Unconditional?
I can, as compared to saying your sorry and getting back to the card game, or sincerely penetrating your personal sin and it's consequences to your soul, the hurt it put on Jesus, the backwash it may have created with others and the effects thereof ... yes, i can know the difference and consequence...
